v 2024.6.3
July 3rd, 2024
* Now Compatible with F1 24

* Now Compatible with Le Mans Ultimate

v 2023.12.3
December 20th, 2023
* Fixes a bug from 2023.12.1 where it was not compatible with the latest Z1 Designer files.

v 2023.12.1
December 4th, 2023
* F1 23 is now supported as a beta.

* Updated the air pressure to read the updated iRacing air pressure units.

* Updates to the rewind and fast forward of telemetry playback when using iRacing. We have updated the way in which the new time stamps are calculated to provide for better synchronization between the telemetry in the Dashboard and the iRacing replay.

* When using the rewind and fast forward options within the Dashboard's telemetry analysis screen in conjuntion with an iRacing replay, the telemetry and the replay will pause when you jump forward or backward within the replay. This is necessary to keep things synchronized, as it takes iRacing a few tenths of a second to move the replay, and if we don't pause the replays on both iRacing and the Dashboard when this move happens, the two will start to drift apart.

* When using the telemetry replay with iRacing, when you move to the telemetry analysis screen after selecting the lap, the Dashboard will attempt to move the car in the iRacing replay to the start of the lap automatically.
v 2023.2
July 6th, 2023
* Added new ACC car definitions

* Added a new option to the driving instructor - 'Number of Laps to Provide Instruction For'. This defaults to 3 laps and can be adjusted in the Driving Instructor tab of the settings dialog. The instructor will now provide feedback for the specified number of laps. After that it will observe you driving again and update the turns being discussed.

* You can now specify the number of turns the driving instructor will discuss each lap. The default is 3 turns and means the 3 turns where you can gain the most time will be discussed.

* The driving instructor will now comment on how hard you are braking in various braking zones and how/if that should be adjusted.

* The driving instructor will now highlight the corners being discussed on any track maps that are displayed on a dashboard. This option can be turned on or off in the Driving Instructor tab in the settings dialog.

* Fixed a bug that could cause the driving instructor to reverse the direction of turns in iRacing tracks.

* Added support for new Designer 2023.2 features.

* Added Tire Wear for iRacing.

v 2023.1.2
May 1st, 2023
* The Driving Instructor has been added to Raceroom.

* Standard license holders can now use the Driving Instructor on one track configuration of their choice. This can be set in the settings dialog under the Driving Instructor tab, or when in the car after being asked by the driving instructor.

* You can now set the volume for the driving instructor's voice. There is a slider in the Driving Instructor tab of the settings dialog under the Speakers section. Asjust this to raise or lower the volume. The default volume is 50%.

* Fixed a bug that could cause instances 2-6 to crash if the Driving Instructor was enabled.

* Fixes a bug that could cause iRacing SOF numbers to differ by 1.

* In the Standings component: iRating change, overall position change, class position change and delta to leader are now only active for a race session. For all other sessions they will show dashes as they are not relevent for those sessions.

* Fixes a bug in RaceRoom where the final sector delta time is not recorded properly.

* Fixes a bug where the Competitor Position Behind Live Delta did not display the correct time.

v 2023.1.1
April 12th, 2023
* Fixes a bug that caused the Dashboard to crash when the sim started if a Vocore screen was in use.

* Fixes a bug that caused the Dashboard to crash a little after the sim started if certain tracks were used.

v 2023.1
April 10th, 2023
* The Driving Instructor is now available to ride along with you in the car. The instructor will speak to you as you go around the track like a real-world instructor would do, providing advice on the turns and how to improve your time through them. This feature requires a current track or pro license. Currently it is only compatible with iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione.

* There is a new settings tab, Driving Instructor, which allows you to set the various option for the instructor.

* You can choose the instructor who will ride along with you. Currently there is only one instructor available. We will be adding more in the future.

* Users can create their own instructor packs. An instructor pack consists of a folder placed in the documents/z1dashboard/voices folder. Look at the folder documents/z1dashboard/voices/greg as an example. This folder contains an xml file called 'voice'. When creating your own instructor you would edit this file to reflect your instructor. When doing so it is important to set the 'id' file to be blank. Then you would need to provide recordings in mp3 format for each of the files located in the folder. Again see the documents/z1dashboard/voices/greg folder for the required mp3 files.

* Customized instructor voice packs can be distributed to other if you like. All that is required for install an instructor pack is to place the folder containing the voice.xml file and the mp3 files into the documents/z1dashboard/voices folder.

* By default the instructor only provides feedback during a practice session. To have it provide feedback during all sessions, uncheck the 'Only Provide Feedback During Practice' option.

* There are 3 levels of advice that can be given by the instructor - beginner, intermediate and advanced. By default the instructor is set to beginner. You should set this level based on your experience as a driver as it effects the advice given by the instructor.

* The instructor provide advice at each level (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) for a specified number of laps before advancing its advice to the next level. By default this is 3 laps. You can change this in the settings dialog.

* You can select the speakers used for the instructor voice in the settings dialog, Driving Instructor tab.

* Added Water Pressure warning level to the Car tab in the Settings dialog. This is a car specific warning level. When the water pressure is under this level the water pressure warning will be triggered. Dashboards that implement the Water Pressure warning will then display the appropriate warning.

* Added support for the new Z1 Designer features.

* Support for Vocore 6.8" screens

v 2022.4.1
February 1st, 2023
* Fixes a bug that could cause the Dashboard to crash when scrolling down to the bottom of the Dashboard Gallery.

* Improved scrolling performance of the Dashboard Gallery when lots of dashboards are displayed.

* Fixed a bug that could cause inaccurate fuel readings after resetting the average fuel per lap value.

* Fixed a bug that could cause track maps from rFactor to be created backwards.

* Fixed an issue with the Dashboard stuttering or pausing briefly in iRacing when running in a session with a large number of drivers.

v 2022.4
December 22nd, 2022
* There is now a default baud rate option in the Arduino settings tab. This specifies the default baud rate to use with your Arduino device. If the Arduino.xml does not contain a baud rate for the device then whatever is selected in the drop down will be used.

* There is now a button option to reset the average fuel per lap.

* When using USBD480 or Vocore screens, the FPS rate is now limited to 30 FPS by default. This is to help with bandwidth issues. You can manually change this by turning off Auto Settings and then changing the FPS rate in the General settings tab. Note a higher FPS rate on these screens isn't really necessary and can cause the screen to hang if you don't have enough USB bandwidth.

* Support for Vocore 6.8" screens.

* In the Shift Lights settings tab, changing the color of the Shift LEDs will cause external LEDs to illuminate immediately if you have Active Preview enabled. This allows you to see your color choices in action.

* In the Shift Lights settings tab there is a slider under the shift light RPM display. If you are using an external device and have Active Preview enabled you can use this slider to preview what the LED settings will look like on your device at a specific RPM value.

* There is now an option to set the font size in the General Statistics garage screen. This option is located in the General settings tab under the Garage display section. Leaving this option set to its default value of Auto will let the Dashboard determine the font size to use.

* There is a new option in the Buttons settings dialog called 'Check By State Change'. This is on by default. When this option is on button assignments will be done when the state of the button changes from Off to On. When the option is turned off, assignments will happen when a button is detected in the On state. The purpose of this feature is to be able to assign buttons that are toggle switches or other buttons that may not be simple On/Off buttons.

* AMS2 - added support for ride heights, inner/middle/outer tire temps, DRS, ERS deployment mode, headlight flash active.

* iRacing - added support for the Power Steering adjustment, traction control active, headlight flash active.

* ACC - added support for traction control active, headlight flash active.

v 2022.3
October 3rd, 2022
* Arduino LEDs are now supported. You will need to run the Z1 Arduino LED setup app to load the Arduino sketch on to your Arduino device. You can download this setup app from within the Z1 Dashboard Arduino settings tab. Once you run the setup app and configure your device you will see it available within the Z1 Dashboard Arduino settings tab. The Dashboard will automatically recognize the device and display its settings for you.

Each device can have multiple profiles. These profiles are all setup within the Dashboard's Arduino settings tab. You can specify which LEDs are associated with shift lights, and which ones are associated with the left and right warning lights.

Just like any other device, you specify when the LEDs illuminate on a car-by-car basis using the Shift Lights and Warning Lights settings tabs.

* Added a simplified setup dialog that will run the first time you run the Z1 Dashboard. This helps guide new users with setting up certain key features of the Dashboard.

* The 'Amount Units', 'Show Fuel As', and 'Gallon Size' settings have been replaced.

* The 'Amount Units' setting from the General tab has been replaced with 'Fluid Units'. This controls how fluids, such as water level or oil level are displayed.

* The way in which fuel levels are displayed has been simplified. There is now an option on the General tab called 'Fuel Units'. This has the options of liters, kilograms, US gallons, UK gallons, or pounds. This is a global setting for how fuel is displayed.

* You can customized the way in which fuel is displayed for a specific car by going to the Car tab and looking for the 'Show Fuel As' option. This option has the following options: liters, kilograms, US gallons, UK gallons, pounds, and inherited. If you choose inherited, then the global setting will be used. Choosing any other option will override the global option with the selected format when running this car.

* Fuel settings from previous versions of the software will be preserved and translated to fit the new list of options.

* Updates to the settings dialog to clarify the function of certain settings.

* If you have registered the Z1 Dashboard using the Z1 Server option, then the Z1 Dashboard will only connect to the Z1 Server. Previously it could connect directly to a sim even if you had the Z1 Server registration option selected, which could cause registration issues.

* There is a new setting in the Shift Light settings tab: External LEDs override dashboard LEDs. When this setting is turned on and you have external LEDs connected to the Z1 Dashboard, any shift light LEDs in dashboards created in the Z1 Designer will be hidden. In addition the LED setup display in the Shift Light settings tab will reflect the number of shift light LEDs on your external device instead of the number of shift lights on the first dashboard. This option is turned on by default.

* The left and right warning LEDs can now be assigned to illuminate when the rev limiter is engaged, or the shift point RPM is reached.

* F1 22 is now supported.

* Added driver name formatting options of 'Last Name, First Initial', and 'Last Name Only' to the existing options of 'First Name Last Name' and 'Last Name, First Name'. This option is set in the Display settings tab. It is used whenever the driver name is displayed, in places like track maps or standings, etc.

* Edit Mode has been depricated.

v 2022.2.2
August 5th, 2022
* Fixes a bug that could cause legacy dashboards to appear skewed on Vocore displays.

* Implements brightness on Vocore screens.

v 2022.2.1
July 29th, 2022
* Fixes a bug in the Z1 Server which could cause it to crash when connecting to rFactor 2.

* Various small improvements to data logging.

v 2022.2
June 27th, 2022
* Data logging will now track whether or not the lap was a valid lap. This will allow the Analyzer to display information on valid or invalid laps. (Note not all sims support this. Currently only iRacing, ACC & RaceRoom.)

* Added support for ACC GT3-2021 and Challengers Pack-2022 cars.

* As we continue our move towards improved dashboard designs, using the Z1 Designer, the legacy dashboards will start to be removed from the Z1 Dashboard. This will not be done until we have designed their replacement in the Z1 Designer. As of this version the Z1 Dashboard will check to see if there is a replacement available. If there is it will be downloaded automatically and will replace the legacy dashboard in the Z1 Dashboard. Any other settings you have specified (LEDs, etc) will not be changed. If you do not want this to happen automatically you can turn the feature off by unchecking the 'Auto Update Dashboards' option near the bottom of the General settings tab. Note if you turn this off then legacy dashboards that have been discontinued will be replaced with the Generic dashboard until you manually update them.

* The Settings dialog for the Z1 Server has been completely updated to the new look and feel.

* The Z1 Server now supports keyboard input as well as joystick buttons.

* The Z1 Server now supports the Z1 Analyzer pre-scan functionality, making it easier than ever to use the Z1 Server as a light weight data logger.

* The track maps for iRacing in the Z1 Dashboard are now created using the Mercator projection method. We will update the old ones over time.

* The pit lane creation process in the Z1 Dashboard iRacing track maps has been improved to display the pit lane entrances and exits more accurately.

* The Internet Data Stream Connection Dialog has been updated to the latest look and feel.

* The way in which track maps are created has been updated. This lets us better know the orientation of the map in the world. We recommend you delete all track maps created with previous versions. These are located in documents/z1dashboard/<sim>/tracks.

* You can now rotate a track map when not in the car. This is the preferred way of adjusting the orientation of track maps moving forward. To do so select the 'Track Map' option from the garage menus. Then use the circle to rotate the track map to the desired orientation and click the 'Save' icon.

* If you want to delete a track map and recreate it, click the 'Delete' icon in the Track Map garage menu screen.

* There is now a settings to turn Live Car Positions on or off when using iRacing. As iRacing only updates car positions when they cross the S/F line we need to do some calculations in order to get position data more frequently. This option is on by default. If you'd like to only update the car position data when the cars cross the S/F line then turn this option off. It is located at the bottom of the General settings tab. If you are using the Z1 Server you should make the selection in the Z1 Server settings.

* When registering you can now use the keyboard shortcut CTRL-V to paste your order number into the order number text field, assuming you have previously copied it from another location using the standard Windows copy (CTRL-C) command.

v 2022.1.2
April 8th, 2022
* Fixes a bug that could cause the Dashboard or Server to crash when running iRacing (either when joining the session, changing a session, or during a session.) If you use the Z1 Server, then you also need to update that to version 2022.1.1.
v 2022.1.1
March 30, 2022
* Fixes a bug that caused the track map car colors of behind and ahead drivers to be switched.

* Various other bug fixes.

* Improvements to pre-scan for the Analyzer.

* Reduces the maximum brightness output to Rexing wheels. This is at the request of the manufacturer to save power.

v 2022.1
March 24, 2022
* Compatible with all new 2022.1 Z1 Designer features.

* The title bar has been redesigned. It is now incorporated into the Z1 Dashboard window. It will be displayed whenever you move your mouse over the window. This will allow you to move, resize and close the Dashboard window. When you mouse your mouse outside the window the title bar will disappear.

* The Title Bar setting has been removed as the display of the title bar no longer effects the size of the window.

* There is a new option in the Display tab called 'Show Border In Car'. If you want the title bar to be displayed when you move the mouse over the window when you are in the car then this option should be selected.

* In the Car tab of the settings dialog you can now reorder the dashboards for a car by clicking and draging them to where you want them to be.

* The button to display the menus in the garage screens has been moved. The previous three bars has been replaced by a menu bar at the right side of the display. Click this menu bar to show or hide the menus. This was necessary due to the redesign of the title bar.

* Enabling or disabling keyboard input no longer requires a restart of the Dashboard for the change to take effect.

* Changing the orientation of the display on the Vocore screen no longer requires a restart to take effect. You will see the change as soon as you exit the settings dialog. Note you may still have to recalibrate the touch points of the vocore screen after changing its orientation.

* In iRacing positions during a race are now updated in real time. Previously they were only updated when you crossed the start/finish line.

* Added an option to pre-scan recorded telemetry laps. This works in conjuntion with telemetry recording. When you exit the car with telemetry recording active and this option active the Z1 Dashboard will scan the laps that were just recorded and add them to the Z1 Analyzer's list of laps. The next time you start the Z1 Analyzer these newly scanned laps will be available for you to open immediately without having to perform a lap scan. This option is on by default and available in the General settings tab. Note: This option works best when the Dashboard is on the same PC as both the sim and the Analyzer. If the Analyzer is not on the same machine as the Dashboard or the Analyzer's documents folder is in a non-standard location you will need to specify the location of the folder in the Dashboard's general settings tab. In addition when working with iRacing if iRacing is on a different PC then you will need to specify the location of the iRacing telemetry folder in the Dashboard's General settings tab.

* Rexing wheel LEDs are now supported.

* RaceRoom: updated to be compatible with latest API data.

* RaceRoom added: center front and rear third spring deflection and velocity; tire load; push to pass; traction control, engine power, engine braking; engine stalled.

v 2021.4
December 22nd, 2021
* Keyboard input is now supported. To enable this make sure the 'Check Keyboard' option in the Buttons tab is selected. Then in the Select Button Dialog, type the key you want to control the specified function.

* Implements the new features from v2021.4 of the Z1 Designer.

* When running the Dashboard with the title bar set to 'None' or 'Thin' you can now resize and drag the Dashboard around as you would with a bordered window. To move it just click near the top of the Dashboard window where a title bar would normally be, and move it to the desired location. To resize you can click and drag any edge, or the resize area at the bottom right.

* When running the Dashboard with the title bar set to 'None' or 'Thin' you can now exit the Dashboard by clicking on the red X at the top right of the 'Waiting For Connection' screen. Note that this is only active when you are not connected to a sim.

* Rendering updates to improve overall clarity, especially when using Windows scaling other than 100%.

* Updates to various dialogs to bring them up to date with the latest look and feel of the Z1 software.

* Various tweaks to the settings dialog.

v 2021.3.2
November 11th, 2021
* Fixed a bug where the rFactor 2 car class vs car name option was reversed.

* Fixed a bug that prevented the Average Lap Time setting in the Car tab from saving properly.

* Fixed a bug where the Dashboard window would get slightly smaller every time you opened it if you were using the 'Thin' or 'None' title bar options.

* Updated some of the descriptions in the settings dialog to be more precise.

* Added more debug output for Vocore screens.

v 2021.3.1

* Fixed a bug which prevented the Telemetry menu option from being selected in the garage display.

* Fixed a bug which could prevent certain information from being displayed on some of the legacy dashboards.

* Fixed a bug that prevented the Fuel Per Lap setting in the Car tab from saving properly.

* Fixed a bug that could prevent the legacy dashboard default values from being read. (This could include things like proper fonts, background color, etc.)

* Fixed a bug that could cause the Category drop down in the Dashboard gallery to be too tall, so you would not be able to see the bottom of it.

* Fixed a bug where if you chose not to scroll the weather in the garage stats screen then the weather would not be displayed at all in that screen.

v 2021.3
September 13th, 2021
* Compatible with the new Z1 Designer v2021.3 features. This includes the new warning options, conditional colors and conditional images.

* The Settings dialog has been completely redesigned to make it easier to understand and navigate. As the Dashboard has grown over the years more and more options have been included. It was time for a complete redo of the settnigs dialog to make all the settings easier to understand.

* The dashboard Gallery has been introduced. This is the new way to select dashboards for your car. The Car tab of the settings dialog will display a preview of each of the dashboards you currently have associated with the car. There can be up to 10 dashboards associated with a car. To change a dashboard, double click on it. This will display the Gallery. This shows all available dashboards. You can search for specific keywords, like F1, or GT3, or the name of the dashboard's designer, etc. You can also filter results by various categories or sims. This also allows us to place new dashboards online so they are immediately available to you for download. In addition you can upload your own dashboards through the Z1 Designer, making them available for other drivers in the Gallery.

* Support for the Sim Lab Race-X display and LEDs.

* Compatible with Codemasters F1 2021.

* Added a new setting called 'Auto Settings'. This is in the General settings tab. When this is selected the Dashboard will assign certain settings based on the currently active sim. These settings include Hertz targets, delta types and LED illumination options.

v 2021.2.1
July 20th, 2021
* Fixed a bug that could cause custom dashboard LEDs defined as rectangles to incorrectly show as circles.

* Fixed an issue with ACC lap timing where undefined lap times could show as extremely high numbers.

* Fixed an issue with ACC where the driver's car could be incorrectly identified in the standings and track map displays.

* Fixed a bug where the Delta time in a custom standings dashboard would display incorrectly.

* Fixed a bug with the display on Vocore 5 inch screens.

* Fixed a bug with the iRating change display on custom standings dashboards.

* Added a Vocore Touch calibration tool. This is located in the Display tab of the settings dialog. If your touch screen Vocore is not responding correctly to your touch inputs, then you should run this tool. Click the 'Calibrate Vocore' button to run the tool. You'll see a screen with four white squares appear on your Vocoe screen. Tap on each square on your vocore screen to turn it green. Once all the squares have turned green, click/tap the Done button. If you choose a different screen orientation you will need to rerun the calibration tool.

v 2021.2
June 28th, 2021
* Compatible with version 2021.2 of the Z1 Designer. Adds the Track Map, Friction Circle, Image and Standings objects to custom dashboards.

* RaceRoom: The names of the cars are now displayed in standings screens, etc.

* Added German as a language option.

* rFactor 1 & 2, ARCA Sim Racing, Automobilista, and Game Stock Car now support up to 64 competitors. Previously the maximum was 32.

* Competitor cars from Assetto Corsa Competizione are now displayed in all appropriate dashboards. To turn this feature on in ACC you will need to edit the file 'broadcasting.json' located in documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Config. Open the file in Notepad. It should look like the following:
{
"updListenerPort": 9000,
"connectionPassword": "asd",
"commandPassword": ""
}

* Transparent backgrounds are now supported. The best settings to enable this are as follows: in the settings Display tab, set 'Always On Top' to Yes, 'Transparent' to Yes, and 'Title Bar' to Racing. The Chroma Key color is what will be used to determine what is transparent. The default gray color works well for most dashboards. The dashboard's background is painted in this color, and Windows is told to make any pixels that are the chroma key color transparent. If you see pixelated edges on parts of the dashboard, then you can experiment with this color to get what works best for you. A restart will be required after changing these options. Note that the standard warnings, such as flags, fuel warnings, etc, that would normally flash on the background are still active with transparent backgrounds, unless you manually turn them off.

* Now Compatible with the Vocore USB screens. The Z1 Dashboard will auto-detect the presence of a screen and send the display to that screen by default. You can choose the orientation for the display on the screen. The four options are located in the Display setting's tab under 'LCD Orientation'. Changing a display orientation requires a restart of the Z1 Dashboard.

v 2021.1.2
May 19th, 2021
* Fixed a bug where web data streams would show up multiple times in the selection dialog.

* Fixed a bug where the new version dialog would show a blank window.

* Fixed a bug where the new version dialog would always appear even if the user had set Show Updates to 'Once' in the settings dialog.

* Fixed a bug where track names for Automobilista 2 and Project Cars 3 could show up incorrectly.

* Fixed a bug that could prevent the shift tone from playing.

* The new version dialog now only displays for the first instance.

v 2021.1.1
April 7th, 2021
* Improved the positioning of the Z1 Dashboard when it is closed near the edge of a monitor.

* Custom Dash updates to work with version 2021.1.1 of the Z1 Designer.

v 2021.1
March 29th, 2021
* Custom Dashboards: You can now create your own dashboards. Please see the release notes for the Z1 Designer v2021.1 for details.

* Automobilista 2 is now officially supported. To connect to this sim turn on the Shared Memory option within Automobilista 2, and set it to Project Cars 2. Then in the Z1 Dashboard Network tab make sure the Madness Engine option is checked and set the drop down to Automobilista 2.

* Dirt Rally 2 is now officially supported. To connect to this sim you will need to edit the file 'hardware_settings_config'. This file is located in Documents\My Games\Dirt Rally 2.0\hardwaresettings. We suggest using Notepad for this. Open the file in Notepad and set the udp entry line to: <udp enabled="true" extradata="3" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" delay="2" />

Then in the Z1 Dashboard Network tab make sure the Codemasters option is checked and set the drop down to Dirt Rally 2. Note this sim lacks a lot of data provided by other sims. There is no data on competitors. See this page to see what data is available for the car: https://z1simwheel.com/analyzer/channels.cfm

The Z1 Dashboard connects to the sim when you are in the car and press the handbrake before the session starts. This is because of the way in which DR2 sends out data.

* Project Cars 3 is now officially supported. You can use either the Shared Memory or UDP option. To connect to this sim, select either Project Cars 3 or Project Cars 3 UDP from the Madness Engine drop down in Z1 Dashboard's Network tab. In the sim if you are using shared memory, set the shared memory option to Project Cars 2, and set the UDP Mode to Off. If you are using UDP, then set the UDP Mode to 1 and the UDP Protocol Version to Project Cars 2, and set the Shared Memory option to No.

* Browser streaming: This feature has been renamed to 'Browser Streaming'. In previous versions it was called 'Web Streaming'. We believe the new name is more inline with that the feature actually does, which is to stream the Z1 Dashboard to a browser. In addition when this feature is activated a message will appear on the 'Waiting For Connection' screen letting you know it is active, and what address the browser should be set to. This makes it easier to ensure you have the correct URL entered into your browser.

* New Data Channels: Wheel lateral patch velocity, Wheel longitudinal patch velocity, Wheel lateral ground velocity, Wheel longitudinal ground velocity, Wheel toe, Velocity X, Velocity Y, Velocity Z, Brake Bias, ABS Setting, Traction Control 1 Setting, Traction Control 2 Setting, Front Anti-Roll Bar, Rear Anti-Roll Bar, Left Weight Jacker, Right Weight Jacker, Differential Entry, Differential Middle and Differential Exit are now recorded for the sims that supply them. See this page for which sims supports these new data channels: https://z1simwheel.com/analyzer/channels.cfm

* There is now an option to specify how driver names are displayed. The two choices are 'First Last' and 'Last, First'. This is available in the Display settings tab. This option effects all lists of drivers and the track maps.

* The Show Flags option has been updated. It now lets you choose between showing, blue flags, yellow flags, both blue and yellow flags, or no flags. This is a car specified option located in the Car 1 tab.

* The screen that displays in-car adjustments (brake bias, traction control, etc), will now flash its border for all events that would cause the standard dashboard background to flash. (This would be events like hitting redline, shift points, blue flags, etc.)

* Added the ability to turn the Hertz target off. This is the first option in the drop down if you wish to turn this option off. Turning it off may work better for some sims, like Codemasters F1 series, as they have a built in hertz target.

v 2020.4.2
December 28th, 2020
* Fixed a bug that would display the After Stop square in the incorrect size on the track map.

* Fixed bugs with Ahead Behind Dash 1 & 2 where only the first letter of the driver's name would appear.

* Fixed a bug where the LCD brightness value of 100 did not correspond with full brightness on the LCD screen.

* Various graphical tweaks to dashboards.

* Updated the statistics garage screen to better display longer car names.

* Fixed a bug where the track map did not show up in the Garage Telemetry Analysis screen.

* Fixed a bug where the Weather Dash did not display properly.

* Fixed a bug with the Relative Dashboards where current driver's name was not tracked properly.

v 2020.4.1
December 24th, 2020
* Fixed a bug that could cause the Z1 Dashboard to crash/freeze when switching between dashboards when a USB LCD screen was being used.

v 2020.4
December 23rd, 2020
* The Z1 Dashboard is now a 64 bit application.

* The Z1 Server is now a 64 bit application.

* The graphics engine has been updated to use Direct2D for the garage screens, and some of the dashboards (standings dashboards, relative dashboards, track map dashboards). This allows for better performance and display, as well as allowing for names with accented characters or non-English characters to be displayed properly in driver, car and track names. It also paves the way for new features that will allow for more flexible dashboard designs.

* Support for different languages. The Z1 Dashboard can now be displayed in any language. Currently the languages included with the installation are English, French, Italian and Spanish. When you first run the Dashboard you will be asked for your preferred language. If you want to change the language after that, go to the General tab of the Settings dialog and select the desired language from the Language drop down.

You can also create you own language pack for use with the Z1 Dashboard. To do so look in the documents/ z1dashboard/languages folder. There is a file called 'Template.zol'. Make a copy of this file in the language folder and name it after the language you are creating. Then open the newly created file in Notepad. The file contains XML. You specify the name and locale of the language in the name attribute of the Language line: .

Then in each subsequent line, enter in the appropriate translation of the text in the key attribute in the translated attribute: .

Note that not everything is translated at this time. For example, tooltips are still in English. We are working on getting these translated for a future release.

* A new telemetry data format, zodx and zodxl, is now being used with the Z1 software. This new format allows for more flexibility moving forward with regard to what data channels can be recorded. It also lets us include driver, car and track names that include non-English characters. Note this new format is not backwards compatible and users of Z1 Analyzer versions prior to version 2020.4 will not be able to read it.

* The track map files for iRacing are no longer included in the installer. Instead they will be downloaded from our server when they are needed. This allows us to have a smaller installer file, resulting in a faster download for you. In addition it allows us to place track maps for new tracks on our server which will then be downloaded to your computer when you need them. (Note this is currently only for iRacing as the other sims create their track maps automatically when you are driving.)

* You no longer have to be connected to a sim for the Z1 Server to start a connection for Internet streaming.

* If you change tracks or cars in a sim and the Z1 Server is transmitting data to the internet streaming service, it will automatically update with the new car and track. Previously you have to manually disconnect and reconnect for this to happen.

* The Z1 Dashboard is now compatible with various third party USB LED devices. It will auto recognize the device and do an LED check if it is compatible.

* The Car 3 Tab in the Settings dialog has been renamed "Shift Lights" as this is more accurate.

* The Car 4 Tab in the Settings dialog has been renamed "External LEDs" as this is more accurate.

* The External LEDs tab has color options for the assigned LEDs. These only work if your external LEDs use RGB LEDs and not older single color LEDs. Click on the color circle to select the color you want for each LED.

* The LED Brightness option has been moved to the External LEDs tab. Previously it was in the General tab.

* The LED brightness drop down now enables the external LEDs in real time so you can more easily determine the desired brightness.

* Reorganized the car 1 tab to group items together better.

* There are now options for settings both a rev-limiter point and shift point. These are in the Car 1 tab. They replace the previous Flash At option. If you set the Auto Rev Limiter to Yes then these values are set automatically by the Z1, based on the sim where possible. Settings Auto Rev Limiter to No allows you to enter user defined values for these two options.

* There are now options to flash either the screen background or screen shift lights when the rev-limiter or shift point is reached. These drop downs are in the Car 1 tab. They are both called 'Flash' and are located just below the Rev Limiter and Shift Point text fields. You can choose between three speeds for flashing the background of shift lights, or turning them on constantly, or doing nothing.

* There is a new color swatch in the Car 3 tab called 'Shift Point'. This lets you choose the color of the background when the shift point is reached. This is the color that will be used if you have the background set to flash when you reach the shift point.

* The External LEDs tab contains the options to flash the LEDs when you reach the rev limiter and/or shift point. You can also specify the color of the LEDs if your setup uses RGB LEDs.

* There is now a Hertz Target setting in the General settings tab. This sets the hertz frequency that the Z1 will request data form the sim. The default is 60 hertz. Higher numbers will result in higher CPU usage. Also note that the FPS target will be the lower of the FPS and Hertz target.

v 2020.3.3
December 2nd, 2020
* Fixed a bug that could prevent the Dashboard from finding laps when using the Telemetry option in iRacing.

* Fixed a bug with the Z1 Server that could prevent the web stream from updating the sim, track and car from 'Waiting' to the appropriate values.

* Fixed a bug with the Z1 Server that could cause it to disconnect from the web stream.

v 2020.3.2
October 16th, 2020
* Fixed a bug that prevented the Project Cars drop down from being displayed in the Network settings tabs.

v 2020.3.1
September 30th, 2020
* Fixed a bug the could prevent the settings from being saved.

v 2020.3
September 28th, 2020
* Four new dashboards: LMP2 Dash 1, 2 and 3, and LMP2 Pit Dash.

* New dashboard: For the Corvette C8R.

* Web Streaming. This allows you to stream the display of the Z1 Dashboard to a browser on your local network. This would include another laptop, tablet, iPad, iPhone, Android, etc. As long as the device has a browser and is connected to your local network it can be used as a display. (Note at this time only one browser window can be connected at one time.)

To set up web streaming go to the Network tab in the Z1 Dashboard's settings dialog. There is a checkbox called 'Enable Web Streaming'. This must be checked to enable web streaming. It is disabled by default. Underneath that are two text fields. The first is for the IP Address and the second is the the port. You can use the defaults, or adjust them as necessary to suit your system. To the right of those text boxes is the URL that you would enter in to your browser to connect to the web stream. If you enable or disable web streaming or make changes to the IP or port you must click OK on the settings dialog and then restart the Z1 Dashboard for these changes to take effect.

Make sure that the selected port is not being used by another process or is not being blocked by a firewall.

You can also set the desired frame rate for the stream. The higher the frame rate the more bandwidth will be used by the web stream. The default is 30 FPS.

The smoothness of the stream is dependent on your network speed and the device being used. As always we recommend a wired connection where possible.

The final option is 'Set resolution automatically'. If you select this then the resolution of the display will be set to 272x480 pixels. This works well on phones due to their smaller screen size. Note the resolution of the display within the browser is based off the current size of the Z1 Dashboard window on your PC. The larger the window the higher the resolution, and the more bandwidth required. So to increase the resolution, simply resize the Z1 Dashboard application window on the PC until you get the appropriate resolution on the browser. The browser will update the resolution automatically as you resize the Z1 Dashboard application window. If you are having bandwidth or lag issues we suggest resizing the Z1 Dashboard window to be smaller to reduce the resolution of the image being sent.

If you want the browser to go to full screen, you can do so by clicking/tapping anywhere on the Z1 display within your browser.

Finally note that the web stream is not compatible with the Z1 LCD Screen. If you are using that screen the the web stream is not active.

* The Z1 Dashboard is now compatible with Codemasters F1 2020. You can select this sim in the Network tab under the Codemasters drop down. As always, broadcast mode is also suported. Selecting F1 2020 BC will allow the Z1 Dashboard to connect when broadcast mode is being used.

* Wheel RPS has been added to rFactor, Game Stock Car, ARCA and Automobilista.

* 12 new data channels are available for sims where they are supported: tire load, lateral tire force, longitudinal tire force, tire contact patch sliding percentage, suspension force, front ride height, rear ride height, front wing height, drag, front downforce, rear downforce, oil level. These data channels are available to use when importing external data as well.

* Improved how live telemetry recognizes Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione to make it easier to connect to those sims.

* Updates to the internal architecture of the Z1 Dashboard to allow for non-English characters to be used in various ways in the future.

* Brake pressure is now read from rFactor 2. Note that rFactor 2 outputs brake pressure as a percentage (0.0 - 1.0). So it won't be bar or psi, etc, but rather a percentage of total pressure. You'll be able to see how the four brakes are working with respect to each other. But you won't get the actual pressure values in each brake line.

v 2020.2.1
July 15th, 2020
* Fixed an issue that could cause telemetry data to not be recorded, or recorded under the incorrect sim or track name, if the Dashboard was not closed after changing the sim or track.

v 2020.2
June 23rd, 2020
* New dashboard: GT4 Dash 1. This is intended for the BMW M4.

* New dashboard: Stockcar 1987 Dash 1. This is intended for the 1987 NASCAR Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

* New dashboard: Formula Dash 5. This is intended for the USF2000 and Indy Pro 2000 cars.

* Added a dark mode version of the Lap Times dashboard. This is called Lap Time DM Dash.

* Added a new Track Map dashboard - Track Map 12. This shows just the track map with no other overlaid data. It is intended for users who want a track map to use with their streams on Twitch, etc.

* There is now an option to flash either the LEDs or the dash background when you reach redline. This option is in the Car 1 tab on the left column and is labeled 'Flash'. You have two options - Dash will flash the dash background, and is the default behavior. 'LEDs' will flash the LEDs. The RPM at which this occurs (both for the dash and LED flashing) is determined by the 'Flash At' text box above. You can set the color of the LEDs when they flash in the Car 3 tab. Look for the 'Rev Limiter' LED, click that to display a color chooser to select the desired color. Note if you have selected LEDs as the flash option and the selected dash does not have LEDs then the background will flash instead. This option is car specific, allowing you to tailor it to each car you drive.

* The Z1 Server now supports Assetto Corsa Competizione.

* The Z1 Dashboard will now display ABS, Traction Control, Traction Control Cut, and Engine Power adjustments for Assetto Corsa Competizione.

* Traction Control Cut adjustment is now included in the Z1 Server UDP feed (for the sims that support it.)

* Various updates to how the Dashboard and Server determine sector times and lap times in rFactor 2.

* The track map displayed in the Track Map 4 dash and the garage screen (when you are out of the car) will now show a circle as the default track map if the track does not have a defined track map. This brings them in line with the other track map dashboards that display the circle as the default track map.

* The DRS activation beep now will play a maximum of three times when you enter the DRS zone and have the ability to use DRS. Previously it would beep consistently until you activated the DRS.

* Codemasters F1 2018 and 2019 now record ride height.

* Now recording Yaw, Roll, Pitch, Yaw Rate, Roll Rate, Pitch rate from all sims that support those values.

* All telemetry is now recorded as ZOD2 files (with the exception of iRacing which we don't record because it has its own ibt format). The option to choose between ZOD and ZOD2 has been removed.

* Added support for traction control adjustment #3 and #4. Currently only iRacing supports this.

* The warnings parameters for each dashboard (oil temp, water temp, fuel level, and fuel pressure) will now change automatically when you change the appropriate units. For example if you had temperature set to Fahrenheit and the oil temperature warning was set to 270, if you then change the temperature units to Celsius that warning number will automatically change to 132.2. Previously the number remained the same regardless of the units selected.

v 2020.1.4
April 17th, 2020
* The driver name registration option has been removed. This was a legacy registration process and was causing issues, such as reverting to a demo after 15 minutes. Moving forward all registrations should be done using your order number.

* Updates to the Indy Car 2018 dashes so that the MPG box now reads L/100K if you are running with liters for the fuel display.

v 2020.1.3
April 10th, 2020
* Added more data to the streaming service: yellow and blue flags, weather data, car class colors.

* Improved how the Z1 Server sends data for a more fluid data stream.

* Added the track map for iRacing's Texas MotorSpeedway track.

* Fixed a bug with RaceRoom where pit stop times would not be properly recorded.

* Fixed a few issues with Assetto Corsa Competizione where the full car name was not displayed, and where brake bias displays were different from what was displayed in the sim.

v 2020.1.2
April 8th, 2020
* Various improvements to the internet streaming service, allowing the remote user to see more data from their driver.

* If you have set up a stream, but not actually clicked the 'Connect' button, the Server will ask if you want to start the stream when you click the OK button to exit the settings dialog.

* You no longer have to be in a sim to set up a stream. You can set up the stream beforehand, and then when you get into your sim, the Z1 Server will automatically start streaming that data. If you are not connected to a sim then your stream will display 'Waiting' as the sim, track and car name. These 'Waiting' streams cannot be connected to by a remote user. Once you start your sim, your stream will be updated with the name of the sim, car and track. At that point the remote users will be able to connect. If you exit the sim your stream will be terminated. You will have to create a new data stream if you want to stream another sim or session.

v 2020.1.1
March 30th, 2020
* When using the data streaming service, the people receiving the data can now access the menus when the remote driver is not in the car. This will let you go to the Settings dialog, and set the display up like you want it. You'll also be able to view the other screens such as lap times, track map, etc.

* Fixed a bug associated with the data streaming service that could have prevented the number of laps from being recorded. This effected the ability to show laps to go, fuel averages, etc.

* When using an LCD screen the 'Waiting for Connection' screen will now show on both the LCD Screen and the monitor window. Once the sim has been detected the display will then continue only on the LCD Screen.

* Fixed a bug that could cause the LCD Screens to display incorrectly after running the LED test.

* Fixed an issue where data logging could result in massive files (over 1 GB). (Files should be about 2 MB per lap.) This would make the Analyzer take an extremely long time to open the files, making it appear to have frozen.

* Fixed a bug that could cause the Z1 Server to drop data stream connections when you were in the Z1 server's settings dialog.

v 2020.1
March 25th, 2020
* Two New Dashboards: 718 GT4 Dash and 718 GT4 Dash B. The B version is the same dash without the LEDs.

* Two New Dashboards: Ford Mustang GT Dash 1 and Ford Mustang Gt Dash 2. Dash #1 is the Race dash and Dash #2 is the Launch dash.

* Two New Dashboards: Holden ZB Dash 1 and Holden ZB Dash 2. Dash #1 is the Race dash and Dash #2 is the Launch dash.

* There is now a new shift light pattern. This is 'All CTR iRacing'. This pattern will illuminate the LEDs from outside towards to center using the shift light start and end numbers provided by iRacing. Obviously this only work with iRacing.

* You can now control the frame rate target of the Z1 Dashboard. In the General settings tab there is an option called 'FPS Target'. This can be set between 1 and 60 fps. The default is 45 fps. The slower the frame rate the less CPU will be used. This can help if you find the Z1 Dashboard is using more CPU than you want it to. Also some dashboards don't need to be updated as often as others - for example standings dashboards, weather dashboards, etc. So you can adjust the FPS to suit the dashboards you have displayed. This can be done for each individual instance. This replaces the 'Sleep' parameter in previous versions.

* The Oil Flash and Water Flash temperatures (in the car 2 tab) that control when certain dials on the oval cars will begin to flash now use the currently selected temperature units. Previously they were always in Fahrenheit. Now if you have Celsius selected as your temperature units then these numbers will represent Celsius temperatures.

* The Oil Temp Warning and Water Temp Warning temperatures (in the car 2 tab) that control when the oil or water temperature warnings are displayed now use the currently selected temperature units. Previously they were always in Celsius. Now if you have Fahrenheit selected as your temperature units then these numbers will represent Fahrenheit temperatures.

* The Fuel Level Warning number (in the car 2 tab) that controls when the low fuel warning is displayed, and when the background flashes for low fuel, now uses the currently selected units. Previously it was always in liters. So now if you have gallons selected then the number is referring to gallons; if you have kilograms selected then the number would refer to kilograms, etc.

* The Fuel Pressure Warning number (in the car 2 tab), that controls when the fuel pressure warning is displayed, now uses the currently selected units. Previously it was always in Bar. So now if you have metric pressure units selected the number will represent kPa instead of Bar.

* The settings dialog has been made bigger so that you can see more of the options without having to scroll. As the Dashboard has evolved over the years is has become extremely customizable, leading to many options in the settings dialog. By making the dialog larger you can see more of these options without having to scroll as much.

* Certain error messages will be displayed at the top of the dashboards. These are intended to help when something goes wrong which might otherwise be difficult to either solve, or know that an issue occurred.

* The version numbering of the Dashboard has been changed. Starting with this version the numbering will be year based making this version 2020.1. This is to bring all three applications onto the same numbering sequence and to make it easier to determine if you have the most recent version of the software.

* The track map creation process has been updated. The Dashboard now attempts to properly orient the track map so the corners turn in the correct direction.

* Added 'Track Map' as a starting option in the Display tab. This lets you open the Z1 Dashboard to the track map when starting up.

* Updated the time display in the standings dashboards. Now if there is an hour or more to go you will see hours and minutes displayed. If there is less than an hour to go you will see minutes and seconds displayed.

* The update notification for new versions can now be displayed as an image, allowing us to show more details on what is included in the latest updates.

* Updates to the internal architecture to allow for better performance and future functionality.

* Windows 7 is no longer officially supported. While the Z1 Analyzer can still be installed on Windows 7 and run on it, there may be issues that arise as Windows 7 is now EOL.

v 4.21.1
January 3rd, 2020
* Fixed a bug in the Server and Dashboard which could result in your order number always being rejected when trying to connect to our Servers.

* Adjusted the minimum allowed size of the Dashboard window to be half of what it was in 4.20. It is now 240 x 136.

v 4.21.0
December 30th, 2019
* SENDING DATA OVER THE INTERNET As of this version you can now transmit your car's data over the internet so that other users of the Z1 software (Dashboard/Server at this time) can view that data from remote locations. You can either choose to send your data, or you can choose to connect to a data stream from a driver who is transmitting their data. Multiple people can connect to a driver's data stream.

Usages of this feature would be to allow teams of drivers to see the data of other drivers in their teams when those drivers are on track. Or a driver coach could monitor a driver's actions while they are in the car. Note that this is the internet and there will be lag, so the data may not be exactly real time to the millisecond.

SENDING DATA
The Z1 Server is used to send your data over the internet. All you have to do is start the Z1 Server and any sim currently supported by the Z1 Server software. Then click on the settings icon at the top right of the Z1 Server screen. There is a new tab called 'Internet'. Select this tab. You can then enter a name for your data stream. Your driver name would be a good example of the name to enter here. You can choose to password protect your data stream by entering a password. If you leave the password blank then anyone can join your data stream.

There are three types of data you can select to transmit. You can choose any combination of the three. CAR STATS: This is sent once a second and includes your lap times, sector times, lap completed, total laps, car position, etc.

CAR DATA: You can choose either Brief or Full. This data is sent as frequently as possible. Brief data includes rpm, water temp, water pressure, oil pressure, oil temp, speed, fuel remaining, voltage, longitudinal acceleration, lateral acceleration, vertical acceleration, throttle, brake, steering percentage, steering angle, ERS level, ERS max level, max ERS per lap, ERS used this lap, ERS deploy percentage, gear, various warning flags, tire inner temp, tire middle temp, tire outer temp, tire pressure, brake temp, tire wear, wheel speed.

Full data includes: lap percent, rpm, water temp, cylinder head temp, water pressure, water level, oil pressure, fuel pressure, oil temp, speed, fuel remaining, fuel level percent, fuel density, voltage, longitudinal acceleration, lateral acceleration, vertical acceleration, throttle, brake, clutch, throttle raw, brake raw, steering percent, steering angle, steering torque, steering torque percentage, power MGUK, torque MGUK, power MGUH, ERS level, ERS max level, max ERS per lap, ERS used this lap, ERS deployment percentage, manifold pressure, fuel per hour, yaw north, center front spring ride height, center front spring shock deflection, center front spring shock velocity, center rear spring shock deflection, center rear shock velocity, gear, various warning flags, tire inner temp, tire middle temp, tire outer temp, tire pressure, wheel ride height, wheel shock deflection, shock velocity, brake temps, tire wear, wheel speed, tire carcas inner temp, tire carcass middle temp, tire carcass outer temp, brake pressure, wheel rps, wheel camber.

LOCATION DATA: You can choose either Brief or Full. This data is sent once a second. It includes the data on your competitors. Brief data includes: Just their location on track. You'll see the circle for each car on the track map, and nothing else.

Full data includes: Their location on track, fastest lap time, last lap time, fast lap number, lap completed, iRating (iRacing only), safety rating (iRacing only), driver name, car name, car class, car number (for supported sims)

Click the connect button to connect to the server. You should then receive a message confirming your connection. Then close the settings dialog to start your data stream.

When you are connected to the internet you will see the word 'Internet' highlighted in white on the main Z1 Server screen. You will also see your average ping to the server.

To disconnect you can either just quit the Z1 Server, or go back to the Internet tab and click Disconnect. Note if our servers loose contact with you for more than 10 seconds you will be automatically disconnected.

RECEIVING DATA
The Z1 Dashboard is used to receive data from the internet. To do so, start the Z1 Dashboard, but do not connect to a sim. On the Waiting For Connection screen, you will see an icon that looks like the world with a ring around it. Click on this to bring up the list of available data streams. You can scroll the list if necessary using your mouse wheel. You can refresh the list by clicking on the blue refresh icon at the top right of the window. The list will show the name of the data stream (driver), the sim, track and car being used for that stream. In addition you'll see the ping that stream is getting to our servers, and the number of other drivers currently connected to the stream. If the stream requires a password there will be a small padlock icon to the left of the driver stream name.

Your ping to the server is listed at the top of the display.

To select a stream to view simply double click on the desired data stream. If that data stream requires a password then you'll be prompted to enter it at this time. A confirmation dialog will be displayed letting you know if you were able to connect to the data stream. If successful then this window will close and you'll be viewing the Z1 Dashboard as you would if you were connected to a sim.

Note obviously you cannot control what the other driver is doing. You are just watching them. You can still change dashboards as you would if you were driving. This allows you to view the data in a way that is useful to you.

To disconnect from a data stream, simply close the Z1 Dashboard.

ACCOUNT TIME LEFT
You'll note that on both the Z1 Server and Z1 Dashboard there is a line saying 'account time left'. This display is in hours and minutes. This data streaming service is a pay service. We have to support it with servers and bandwidth, which we have to pay for. Because of this the use of the server will be charged at 50 cents per hour. You can purchase time for the service in $5 blocks (10 hours a time). Every user of the Z1 software will be given 10 free hours so that they can experience the data streaming service.

When your account time left reaches zero your data stream will be terminated until you add additional time to the service. This can be done by going to the My Dashboard page (https://z1simwheel.com/dashboard/MyDashboard.cfm), entering your order number, and purchasing additional time there.

REGISTRATION
You must have registered the Z1 Server and/or Z1 Dashboard using your order number for this feature to work.

* When running the demo you can now choose between the four different license levels (standard, track, educational or commercial). This lets you try out each license level to determine which is right for you. As before, the demo will last 15 minutes regardless of the license level selected. After the 15 minutes is over you will have to restart the Analyzer to get another 15 minutes.

* There is a new license level - educational. This is intended for educational institutions. For details on this license level and what it offers please visit https://www.z1simwheel.com/analyzer/licenses.cfm

* The default track map is now a circle. This is displayed if a track map does not exist for the selected track.

v 4.20.2
October 15th, 2019
* Fixed a bug which could cause the Dashboard to crash when running Assetto Corsa Competizione in multiplayer.

* Fixed a bug which could cause the Dashboard to display incorrect gear, and RPM data when using Codemasters F1 2019.

v 4.20.1
October 10th, 2019
* Fixed a bug where if the sim had more than 64 cars in a session at once it could cause the Z1 Dashboard to crash.

v 4.20.0
September 25th, 2019
* There are two new dashboards: Acceleration Dash 1 and Acceleration Dash 2. These let you measure acceleration times. They will measure your 0-100 KPH, 0-100 MPH and quarter mile times. Acceleration Dash 1 will then display the best ones achieved in the stint, and the previous 5 acceleration runs in the stint. Acceleration Dash 2 will display the current run, along with an acceleration graph. For both dashes if the time is displayed in green then it is your best of the current stint.

These dashboards are intended to let you practice your acceleration from a standing start to see how to achieve the fastest times. To begin a run, come to a complete stop. Then one you start moving the timer will begin. As you pass each of the three milestones the time to reach them will be displayed. To finish a run, come to a complete stop.

Note as we want the times to be as accurate as possible the list of times and best acceleration times will not be displayed while you are accelerating, to reduce rendering cycles. In addition, the Z1 Dashboard's 'Sleep' mode will be turned off. (Sleep mode waits 10 milliseconds each time through the main loop to help reduce CPU load.) Finally data logging will also be turned off. After using these dashboards you will need to manually turn data logging back on again.

* There are two new dashboards: Deceleration Dash 1 and Deceleration Dash 2. These let you measure stopping distances. They will measure your stopping distance from 200 KPH to zero, and 200 KPH to 100 KPH. In MPH this is 124 to zero and 124 to 60. They will also record the maximum G-Forces under braking. Deceleration Dash 1 will then display the best ones achieved in the stint, and the previous 5 deceleration runs in the stint. Deceleration Dash 2 will display the current run, along with a deceleration graph. This graph will show both distance and g-forces over speed. For both dashes if the distances or g-forces are displayed in green then it is your best of the current stint.

These dashboards are intended to let you practice your stopping from speed to see how to achieve the shortest distances. To begin a run, accelerate up to 200 KPH (124 mph) and then brake to a complete stop. The speed distance will turn green when you are going fast enough to start your braking. Then one you start braking the distances will start to be recorded. As you pass each of the three milestones the time to reach them will be displayed. To finish a run, come to a complete stop.

Note as we want the data to be as accurate as possible the list of data and best stopping distances will not be displayed while you are braking to reduce rendering cycles.

* Two new dashboards: The Audi R3 Dash 1 and Dash 2 dashboards are now available.

* Added four new dashboards: Standings DM Dash 1-4 are now available. These are 'dark mode' versions of the original Standings Dash 1-4 dashboards.

* Added new dash: Relative DM Dash. This is a 'dark mode' version of the Relative Dash.

* Three New dashboards for 2019 X-Finity stock cars: Stockcar 2019 Dash 1, Stockcar 2019 Dash 2 & Stockcar 2019 Dash 3.

* ODBII/GPS compatibility: The Commercial License and Track License now allows users of the Dashboard to connect to a bluetooth ODBII reader and/or a bluetooth GPS device. You can then use the Z1 Dashboard to monitor your car and/or location through the various dashboards available on the Z1 Dashboard. We will be doing various videos on how this works, discussing how to connect to the devices, and what data you can get from those devices. Note this is currently a beta feature.

* New shift light illumination pattern: 'All LR (iRacing)' - if you select this option for your dashboard, in the Car 3 tab, then the Z1 will read the 'first shift light' and 'last shift light' RPM values from iRacing. Those numbers will be used to determine when the shift lights will be illuminated. The shift lights on the dashboard will illuminate evenly between the first and last shift light values, as provided by iRacing. The accuracy of the numbers provided by iRacing varies from car to car. This results in some cars being very accurate using this method, and other being off a bit. The cars that have different shift light sequences based on the gear are the least accurate. Finally, this obviously only works with iRacing. The other sims do not provide this data.

* The Z1 Dashboard is now offering beta compatibility with Assetto Corsa Competizione. This is because at the time of this release the Shared Memory (v1.0.7) available for this sim is quite incomplete. There is a lot of data which is not currently included. One major aspect is that the Shared Memory does not report when the sim exits. So at this time there is no way for the Z1 Dashboard to know that the sim has exited. Once the Shared Memory has been updated we will include these updates in the next major release of the Z1 Dashboard.

To have the Z1 Dashboard check for Assetto Corsa Competizione make sure check box next to the Assetto Corsa drop down in the Network tab of the Z1 Dashboard settings dialog is checked. And make sure you select Assetto Corsa Competizione from the drop down.

* The Z1 Dashboard is now compatible with Codemaster's F1 2019 sim.

* If Debug Mode is turned on you will now see a message alerting you to this, along with the currently selected debug mode, ad the top of the dashboard when you are in the car. Debug mode can use up a lot of performance, so this message will ensure you do not leave it on when not needed.

* The mouse wheel will now scroll drop downs in the settings dialog as appropriate.

* If there is a blue scroll bar in a settings tab, then you can now use the mouse wheel to scroll the part of the settings tab that is associated with that blue scroll bar. Previously you could only move the area by clicking and dragging the scroll bar.

v 4.19.1
July 16th, 2019
* Fixed an issue with Edit Mode where if you exited the sim before exiting the Z1 Dashboard then any changes made with Edit Mode were not saved.

* Fixed an issue with the Cadillac dashboard where the brake bias did not line up properly in the display.

* Fixed an issue with the Cadillac dashboard that caused a white area to be displayed at the bottom of the dashboard after in-car settings were changed and displayed on screen.

v 4.19.0
June 25th, 2019
* Edit Mode - This is a new way for you to select dashboards for your car. There are several ways to turn Edit Mode on or off. When you are in the car you can right click your mouse, or CTRL-left click your mouse on the dashboard. Or you can assign a button box button or POV switch. To assign a button or POV switch go to the Buttons tab of the Z1 Dashboard's settings dialog. There is an option called 'Toggle Edit Mode'. Assigning a button or POV switch to this will let you turn this mode on or off.

With Edit Mode turned on you will be able to scroll through all the available dashboards while sitting in your car. This makes it easier and faster to select a dashboard than the current method which requires you to get out of the car every time you want to change a dashboard assignment.

Pressing the button you assigned to this option, or right-click, or CTRL-left click, will toggle Edit Mode on or off. When it is on you will see an indication on the current dashboard that you are in Edit Mode. The name of the currently displayed dashboard will be shown along with the current screen number. (Remember you can have up to 10 dashboards assigned to each car). When Edit Mode is on you can scroll through the dashboards by using the mouse to click on the left/right side of the dashboard to move ahead or backwards in the list of dashboards. The dashboards will scroll alphabetically. If you have a button assignment for the next screen or last screen functions, then during edit mode those will change the dashboard to the next or previous dashboard. If you have a Z1 LCD Screen, then you can tap on the right or left side of the screen to change the dashboard assignment.

When the dashboard you want is displayed, turn off Edit Mode by pressing the same button used to turn it on, or right-click or CTRL-left click again. The currently displayed dashboard will now be saved for the car in the appropriate screen location. If you would like to change one of the other dashboard slots assigned to the car, remember you can have up to 10, just scroll to the slot as you normally would, then active Edit Mode again, and proceed as described above.

Note that the various customizations of the dashboards, such as colors, warnings levels, etc, and the number of dashboards assigned to a car are still done in the settings dialog using the Car 1 and Car 2 tabs.

* Sounds - there is a new tab in the Settings dialog called 'Sounds'. This lets you specify three new sound options. They are 1) a beep when it is time to upshift; 2) announcing the gear you are in after a gear change; 3) A beep when DRS is available. All three are turned on by default.

The upshift beep is tied to the LED shift lights associated with the first dashboard assigned to the car. (Remember you can have up to 10 dashboards for each car.) You specify the offset from the right-most LED light. For example specifying the number 2 for a dash that has 15 shift lights will play the beep when the 14th LED illuminates. Specifying 2 for a dashboard that has 5 LEDs would make the shift beep play when the 4th LED illuminated.

These sounds can be customized. They are stored as WAV files in the folder documents/z1dashboard/sounds.

* The car drop down in the Car 1 tab now uses the full car name as opposed to the short car name previously used. This makes it easier to determine which car you are selecting, as the short car names can sometimes be quite cryptic.

* Added a new dashboard that displays the time deltas between your car and several cars ahead and behind. This delta is the time in seconds they are behind or ahead of you on the track. The new dash is the 'Relative Dash'.

* Added a new dashboard for off road trucks. It is called 'Truck Dash 1'. Note some of the values will be zeros at this time. This is because sims do not supply data for them at this time.

* Two new standings dashboards have been added. These are Standings 3 and Standings 4. They show the same information as Standings 1 and 2, but they only show the cars that are in your class. In addition the position, timing deltas and other information is all based on only those cars in your class.

* Updates to Track Maps 1, 3, 9 and 10. The tracks maps were slightly altered to make better use of the available space for driver names, car names, etc.

* The Dashboard software is now using the EnergyMGU_KLapDeployPct parameter from iRacing when it is available to determine the deployment percentage. In previous versions this value was calculated based on other data (as the EnergyMGU_KLapDeployPct parameter wasn't available.). The only difference you'll with this new parameter being used is that the first lap of a session will have the accurate percentage displayed. Previously you had to run a full lap before we could start showing this data. This change only effects iRacing, and the Audi R18 and Porsche 919 dashboards.

* When in a multi-class race in iRacing, the garage standings screen will now display the various strength of field (SOF) for each of the classes as well as for the overall field. This display is dependent on having room at the bottom of the screen for this information. The overall SOF will always be displayed. However on smaller window sizes there may not be enough room for all the class SOF information to be displayed. Information about the fastest lap available on the Z1 Analyzer (if one exists for your car and track combination.) will always be displayed. Then depending on the remaining room the class SOFs will also be displayed.

* There is a new button option for resetting stint fuel. This button option allows you to reset the starting stint fuel to the current amount of fuel in the car. This has the effect that any fuel displays that show the amount of fuel used since you last got in the car will be reset to zero. This is useful when you have a pit stop in a race and want the reset the fuel usage display to zero.

* Various graphical updates to the dashboards.

v 4.18.1
April 4th, 2019
* Now compatible with RaceRoom version 2.6 API.

v 4.18.0
March 27th, 2019
* Added six new dashboards: Indy Car 2019 Short Oval Qual, Indy Car 2019 Short Oval Race, Indy Car 2019 Speedway Qual, Indy Car 2019 Speedway Race, Indy Car 2019 Road Qual, Indy Car 2019 Road Race.

* Added new GT3 Dash #5. This is intended for cars like the BMW M8 GT car.

* Added new Position And Fuel dash. This displays lap, position and fuel information in a large easy to read format.

* Compatible with the updated RaceRoom API. Note this update is not backwards compatible with the older RaceRoom API.

* We are now reading the car numbers from iRacing and RaceRoom for each car. This new information will be displayed on various dashboards.

* The Porsche 919 dashboards now display the actual percentage number of the ERS level and amount used per lap underneath the bars. This makes it easier to know the exact amount of ERS usage at any one time.

* The various Speech options are now available for use when you are connected to the Z1 Server. (This was not the case in previous versions.)

* The Z1 Server now supports the new weather types introduced in previous versions of the Z1 Dashboard. This provides for 7 different weather types including rain and storms.

* The track maps have been updated to include the average track temperature in the top right corner. The two exceptions to this are track maps 6 and 7. They do not include this data because it is already displayed in the weather section of their displays.

* The Weather Dash will now display the time within the sim at the top of the dash, if the sim supplies that information.

* There is now an option in the General tab of the settings dialog called 'Time Units'. This lets you choose if time is displayed in a 24 hour or 12 hour format.

* There is now an option in the General tab of the settings dialog called 'Display Time As'. This determines if the time within the sim, or the actual time in real life, is displayed in the various clocks throughout the Z1 Dashboard. Note not all sims support sim time. If they do not then the sim time will be displayed as 00:00.

* There is a new Delta type for Race Room. If you select 'RaceRoom' as the delta type then the Z1 software will use the delta timing supplied by RaceRoom when using that sim.

* The Z1 Server has been updated to include the Speech button options and the start/stop sim race button option.

* The Z1 Dashboard now creates an entry for a newly driven car the first time you get in that car. Previously you had to open the settings dialog while being in the car in the garage. This caused issues for some sims, like Project Cars, Assetto Corsa or RaceRoom where you might not actually be in the garage. This meant that the car would never show up on the list of available cars in the Car 1 tab, so you could not assign dashboards to it. This new way will make sure the cars are included in the drop down on the Car 1 tab regardless of if you were in the garage or not.

v 4.17.1
January 14th, 2019
* Fixed a bug with the Acura HPD dash where if you changed an in-car setting such as brake bias, after the dashboard displayed the new value of that setting, the white background could remain on the right side or the bottom of the Acura dash once it was re-displayed.

* Added debug option for adding cars to the list of cars in the drop down in the Car 1 tab ['Car Assignment']. This can help with debugging issues associated with cars not showing up in that drop down after they have been driven.

* Added a new option called 'DRS Mode' to the Car 1 tab. This is a car-specific assignment that lets you decide how the DRS should function. You can choose 'Standard'. This would be for F1 cars. Choose 'Simple' for cars where the DRS is either open or not and the number of times it has opened is counted (as in iRacing's Formula Renault 3.5). Choose 'Counting' for cars where you want the number of times the DRS has been deployed to be counted, but the sim does not provide this data.

v 4.17.0
December 18th, 2018
* Added two new dashboards, GT3 Dash 4A and GT3 Dash 4B.

* Added two new dashboards, Super Speedway Dash 3 and Super Speedway Dash 4.

* Added three new dashboards, Formula Dash 3A, Formula Dash 3B and Formula Dash 3C.

* Added two new dashboards, Formula Dash 4A and Formula Dash 4B.

* The Z1 Dashboard is now compatible with Codemasters F1 2018 sim. F1 2018 uses UDP to send data. To turn it on within the sim go to 'Game Options', then 'Settings', then 'Telemetry Settings'. Then set 'UDP Telemetry' to 'On'. Leave the IP address and port as the default. Set the UDP Format to '2018'. You will need to experiment with the UDP Send rate to get the one that works best for you. 30Hz seemed to work quite well during testing. Set 'D-Box', 'Fanatec LED', and 'SLIPro LED' to 'Off', if you are not using those devices.

Then within the Z1 Dashboard, open the Settings Dialog and click on the Network tab. Make sure the Codemasters checkbox is ticked, and choose 'F1 2018' from the drop down. If you have selectded Broadcast mode from the F1 2018 telemetry settings, then select 'F1 2018 BC'.

* The way in which the backgrounds of the track maps are displayed has been changed. The background color of the section of the track map that is showing the actual map is determined by the Ground Color selected in the Track Map tab. The Background Color selected in the Car 2 tab controls the background of the rest of the track map dashboard. The one exception is Track Map Dash 4. For this dash, the background color is used for the entire dashboard, and the Ground Color has no effect.

* The UDP packets sent from the Server to the Dashboard have been optimized allowing them to be smaller. This means less bandwidth is needed to send the data across the networks. It also paves the way for some new features currently in development.

* Camber is now being read from Assetto Corsa.

* Brake bias and Engine Torque is now read from rFactor 2. You will need to update the rFactor 2 plug.

* Engine Torque is now read from Project Cars 2.

* Logging has been updated to include more data when necessary. This should make determining issues easier in the future.

* There is a new option for rFactor 2 users. It is called 'rF2 Car Name' and is located in the General tab of the settings dialog. Scroll down and you'll see it underneath the Background Color 4 on the left. rFactor 2 allows cars to have both a car name and a car class. Depending on who creates the car the car name may be very specific and include a car number. For example 'Skip Barber #1'. In these cases the car class is usually similar to 'Skip Barber'. Now there are other cases where the car name may be '911 RSR GTE', and the car class may be very generic such as 'GTE'.

The Z1 Dashboard determines which dashboards to load based on the car name. If you have a car name that includes the car number then if you change the car number you'll have to recreate all your dashboards and settings for that car because the car will change from 'Skip Barber #1' to 'Skip Barber #2' for example. Obviously this which would be quite annoying. In these cases it would be better to use the car class to describe the car, as that would remain constant with 'Skip Barber'.

Now, if you have a car with a very generic car class, like 'GTE', then it would be better to use the car name to describe the car to avoid having the same dashboard settings loaded for completely different cars, like a 911 and a Ferrari. Because while those cars are in the same class, they would have very different dashboards.

This new 'rF2 Car Name' setting allows you to choose how you want the Z1 Dashboard to identify the car being used - either by its name or by its class.

Note that the selection you make will also determine how that car is displayed in the Z1 Analyzer when it reads telemetry data.

Finally, the standings displays will always use the car name, and not the car class to show which cars are driven by each player.

* Expanded the DISPLAY debug setting to include data in creation of background layers used in dashboards. This is intended to help determine issues that occasionally arise with those layers not being rendered.

* There is now an option to have the background of the dashboard flash a specific color when the fuel level is below a desired amount. This is set on a car by car basis. In the Car 1 tab there is a settings called 'Fuel Flash'. When on, the background will flash if the fuel is below 7 liters. This setting is on by default. In the Car 2 tab there is a new color swatch for 'Fuel Level Color'. This is the color the background will flash when this option is enabled, and is set on the dashboard by dashboard basis. And in the Car 2 tab under the warnings section, the Fuel Level is the level below which the background will being to flash. This is set to 7 liters by default. Note during qualifying sessions this feature is disabled.

With the introduction of the above background flash there are now 7 different scenarios in which the background will flash. They are in order of precedence: Hitting the rev limiter; Yellow flag; Local yellow flag; Blue flag; Pit limiter engaged; In pit lane; Low fuel warning. If two warnings are present at the same time, then the one with higher precedence will be displayed.

* Graphical updates to various dashboards.

* The weather dashboard has been updated to show more weather options. You can now see icons for sunny, light cloud, heavy cloud, overcast, light rain, heavy rain, and stormy weather conditions.

* The fuel level warning amount can now be specified as a decimal amount. Previously it had to be a whole number.

v 4.16.3
November 5th, 2018
* Fixed a bug in Project Cars 2 UDP feed which would cause the Z1 Dashboard to crash when crossing the S/F line due to an out-of-bounds value from the UDP feed.

* Fixed an issue with the McLaren MP-4 dashboard where the background didn't fill then entire vertical space of the window.

v 4.16.2
October 15th, 2018
* Fixed a bug in the Speech that would not let you request the laps of fuel or the 'say all' option using the buttons if you didn't have those options selected in the speech tab.

* Updated some of the speech output to let you know when no data was available. Previously if you requested the lap time or fuel data and you didn't have a lap time at that point, or there were not enough laps to determine fuel consumption, then nothing was said. This could be confusing as you may think the request had not been received. Now if this is the case you will be told the information is not available yet.

v 4.16.1
September 26th, 2018
* Fixed a bug in Project Cars 2 UDP that could cause the Brake Bias screen to be permanently displayed in some cars.

* Fixed a bug in the ZOD2 telemetry file creation where it would not save in any location other than the default documents/z1dashboard location.

v 4.16.0
September 24th, 2018
* Added support for Project Cars 2 UDP mode. To select this mode you need to select Project Cars 2 UDP in the Z1 Network tab, and make sure the checkbox to the left of the Project Cars combobox is selected. In Project Cars 2 go to the Options section and click on the System box. Set the UDP Protocol Version to Project Cars 2. Set the UDP Frequency to one that works for your system. A setting of 1 sends the data at the highest frequency, and a setting of 9 sends it at the lowest frequency. The lower the settings the better. But too low could mean your network gets overwhelmed and things actually slow down.

Note that due to how Project Cars 2 send the UDP data we cannot request specific data. Instead we receive the data when the sim decides to send it. This means that some data, such as the driver name, car, track, and opponents are sent when you enter the track in the sim, and then at varying times afterwards. Because of this it is vital that you have the Z1 Dashboard running before you start Project Cars 2. Failing to do this could results in a long wait before the Z1 can determine which car you are driving, or which correct track, or the correct list of opponents.

Note that due to how Project Cars 2 send the UDP data it does not always send the signal that the sim has exited when you exit the sim. However it does cease sending telemetry data when it exits. Unfortunately it also ceases sending telemetry data if it is paused. Because of this we determine if the sim has exited by calculating the time since any data was last received. If that is more than one minute we assume the sim has exited. You can adjust this time limit in the Network tab of the Z1 settings dialog.

Project Cars 2 UDP mode only supports the new ZOD2 telemetry data logging mode in the Z1 Dashboard. Please keep this in mind. You must have the ZOD2 mode selected in order to record telemetry from Project Cars 2 UDP.

* There is a new setting called 'Data Log Mode' in the General settings tab. This lets you choose if you want to use the new ZOD2 file format or the older ZOD file format for data logging. ZOD2 is the new default and in most cases you should not have to change this.

* Assetto Corsa, Race Room, Project Cars, Project Cars 2, and rFactor 2 now support the new ZOD2 data logging file format. (This new format improves accuracy of lap times and sector times, as well as adding additional data.)

* There is a new setting in the Car 1 tab called 'Limiter Flash'. This can be set on a car-by-car basis. When set to the 'Pit Limiter' it will cause the background of the dashboard to flash when the pit limiter is engaged. When set the 'Pit Lane' it will cause the background of the dashboard to flash when you are in the pit lane. The color used for the flash is the Pit Limiter Color from the Car 2 tab. Note that the sim has to support the pit limiter or pit lane data for this feature to work.

* The Car 2 tab has been redesigned for better layout. There is a new scrollbar that you can used to view all the options in this tab.

* You can now set the warning levels fuel level, fuel pressure, oil temperature and water temperature for the dashboards that support them. This is done in the Car 2 tab. Note that each individual dashboard can have different settings for these values. They do not have to be the same for all dashboards on the car.

* Updates across all sims to improve accuracy of lap times and sector times.

* Updates to the rFactor 2 plugin to allow for more accurate timings. (Make sure you update your plugin.)

* In previous versions of the Z1 Dashboard in order for the buttons assigned to speech options to work you also had to have that same option selected in the Speech tab. For example to make the button assigned to announcing your position work you would have to have the automatic Announce Position option selected. This would mean your position was announced every lap, and you could also have it announced when you pressed the assigned button. This has been changed, and you no longer need the option to be selected in the Speech tab. This allows you to have the desired information spoken when you press the assigned button without also having it spoken every time you cross the start/finish line.

* Added a new debug option for Tracked Drivers. This will output data on saving and loading tracked drivers as well as copying paint templates in iRacing. This setting is available as an option in the Debug drop down located in the General tab of the settings dialog. It should help people diagnose issues with saving or loading of tracked driver lists.

* The Tire Dash will now only display the camber information if the sim provides camber data. This will remove unnecessary data for sims that don't provide it.

* The Tire Dash will not only display the tire surface temperature information if the sim provides the data. This will remove unnecessary data for sims that don't provide it.

* The Tire Dash will now display the tire carcass temperatures if they are available from the sim.

* Tire carcass temperatures are now available in iRacing. Note they only get updated when you pit.

* There is now an button assignment option that will let you minimize and restore the Z1 Dashboard window. This option is located at the bottom of the Button tab under the Min/Restore title. Scroll down to see it.

v 4.15.1
July 27th, 2018
* Fixed a bug that could cause RaceRoom to crash when crossing the S/F line if you were running with Data Logging on for certain cars.

v 4.15.0
June 27th, 2018
* Added 4 new stockcar dashboards. These are Stockcar 2016 Dash 1B, 2B, 3B and 6B. They are versions of the stock car 2016 dashboards formatted for 480x272 ratio displays. This allows users that use square displays as opposed to the wide screen displays to still be able to use these dashboards.

* Added 5 new dashboards associated with the Porsche 911 RSR. These are the Porsche 911 RSR Pit Dash, and the Porsche 911 RSR Dash 1-4.

* There is a new setting in the Track Map tab. This is called 'Track Style'. It can be set to Static or Moving. Static is the default and displays the track map from above as it has always been displayed. This option will include the sector overlays if desired, the directional arrow, the wind display, the pit stop loss overlays, the pit lane if defined, and all other competitors.

The new Moving option displays the track map from your point of view. Your car is always located at the bottom center of the display and the track map revolves around this position. This option will display the pit stop loss overlays and all other competitors. Note because the track map moves around and not all parts are always visible it is likely that the pit loss displays will be off-screen and therefore not visible. The sector overlay, pit lane, and directional arrow are not displayed in this configuration in order to reduce CPU load. Note that this option may have a slightly negative effect on FPS within the sim as it is more CPU intensive as we have to recompute and redraw the map every frame.

Selecting the 'Moving' option will override the 'Render With' setting to always be 'Vector'.

The new Moving option is available for all track maps, except Track Map 4. This track map will always show the track from the static top-down view. This allows you to have both a moving and static track map in your dashboard rotation.

* There are 4 new automatic shift light patterns. These illuminate the shift lights from outside to inside. Previously all automatic patterns illuminated the shift lights from left to right. These new patterns are called 'All CTR (80-98%)' which illuminates each LED individually, starting at 80% of max RPM until they are all lit at 98% of max RPM. 'All CTR (65-98%)' which illuminates each LED individually, starting at 65% of max RPM until they are all lit at 98% of max RPM. 'Grouped CTR (80-98%)' which illuminates the LEDs in groups, starting at 80% of max RPM until they are all illuminated at 98% of max RPM. 'Grouped CTR (65-98%)' which illuminates the LEDs in groups, starting at 65% of max RPM until they are all illuminated at 98% of max RPM.

* Multiple updates to the Kart Racing Pro interface to implement speech output, provide sector timings, update data logging, and many other small improvements.

* Added Cylinder Head Temperature and Fuel Level Percentage to Kart Racing Pro data logging.

* Updated the RaceRoom track creation to allow for inconsistencies in various RaceRoom track center spline lines.

* Cleaned up several of the dash names to better group them together in the Car 2 tab drop down.

* Several graphical and informational updates to the Kart 1,2,3 dashboards.

* Now reads air and track temps, and weather conditions from Kart Racing Pro.

* Data Logging now records cylinder head temperature for those sims that support it. This is currently only Kart Racing Pro.

* The Z1 Server will now allow you to cycle through multiple IP addresses if they are available. Most computers will have a single IP address. That is the one that the Server will connect to and display. However on some machines there could be multiple IP addresses due to virtual systems, backup IPs, or other possible reasons. In these cases the Server will display a count next to the IP address. It will say 1 of 2 (3,4,5, etc). By default it will always choose the first IP address to register against. However sometimes that can be incorrect. If you are finding that the Dashboard can't connect and that the Server has more than one IP address option, then on the Server click on the IP address in the display. It will change to the next IP address. Try entering this address into the Dashboard to see if it can connect.

* The Audi R18 dash has been updated to include percentage bars displayed along with the battery charge and battery deployment per lap displays. This should make it easier to quickly glance at these levels while racing.

* There is a new setting in the Track Map tab called 'Fill Dots'. This is on by default. If you turn this off, then the dots used to display the car locations on the track maps will not be filled in. This can make it easier to see the track map on longer tracks, where the filled in dot map cover up some of the detail.

* There is now an option in the Car 1 tab called 'Auto Fuel Dens'. This sets whether or not the fuel density is automatically determined based on data from the sim. It is on by default. If you turn this off you can then enter the fuel density for the car. The fuel density is measuring kilograms/liter. It is 0.75 by default for all manual entries. Currently the only sim to supply this information is iRacing.

* Updated various dependencies related to graphics and display to improve performance and stability.

* The Project Cars 1 and Project Cars 2 network connectivity options have been combined into a single drop down where you select the version you would like to connect to.

* Small updates to the rally cross dashboards.

v 4.14.0
March 26th, 2018
* Added 2 new dashboards for the VW Rally Cross car. These are called VW Rally Cross Dash 1 and VW Rally Cross Dash 2. These are similar, but have slight differences in the information displayed.

* Added 2 new dashboards for the Ford GTE car. These are called Ford GT 2017 Dash1 and Ford GT 2017 Dash 2.

* Added 3 new dashboards for the 2018 Indy Car. These are Indy Car 2018 Dash 1-3.

* Added a new Z1 Dash 2 dashboard.

* Added a new dashboard intended for the Audi R18 and similar cars.

* Added a new dashboard the the Porsche 919. This is called the Porsche 919 Dash 2 and is a variant on the first 919 dash form version 4.13.

* Added a new track - Track Map 11. This incorporates a gear and RPM circle, with car speed, water temp and lap number, as well as the current lap time and delta time.

* Added a new feature called 'brake lock level lights'. This works with any sim that reports wheel speed. Currently this is Assetto Corsa, Codemaster F1 sims, Kart Racing Pro, Project Cars 1 & 2, Race Room and rFactor 2. This feature allows you to use the left and right most 3 shift light LEDs to indicate when you are close to locking up the front left or right wheels. You can set the sensitivity of this feature in the Car 1 tab. There are three drop downs on the right labeled Lock Level 1 - 3. These control when each LED will be illuminated. The order of the LEDs is outside to inside. Settings the lock level to zero will disable the feature. The brakes must also be engaged to at least 15% in order for this LED to illuminate.

There are two ways to set the sensitivity, the first is using speed. With this setting the number you choose in the first drop down is the difference in wheel speed between the front wheel and the rear wheel. This speed is in the currently chosen units. So if you have speed displayed in kph, and you have set lock level 1 to 15 Speed, then if you front wheel if rotating 15 kph slower (or more) than the rear wheel the LED will illuminate.

The second option is Percent (Prcnt). When using this option the LED will illuminate if the front wheel's rotation speed is the selected percentage less than the rear wheel rotation speed. So if you selected 15 Prcnt, then if the front wheel if rotating at a rate of 15% (or more) less than the rear wheel the LED will illuminate. Note for the sims Project Cars 1 & 2, Race Room and rFactor 2 you must use the percentage option.

You may set the sensitivity of the LEDs on a car by car basis. The color of the illuminated LED can be set in the Car 3 tab. This color is the same for all dashboards for the selected car, but can vary between cars.

The following dashboards support this feature: V8 Super Car Dash, Corvette C7 Dash, Corvette Dash, Cadillac CTS-V Dash, Dallara Dash, DW 12 Dash, Daytona Prototype Dash, Ford GT Dash, Generic Dash, LMP Dash, F1 9180 Dash, all F1 2014 dashes, Ford GT 2017 Dash 1 & 2, Formula Dash 1 & 2, GT Dash 1-3, Mazda Miata Dash, Star Mazda Dash, VW Jetta Dash, Kart Dash 1 & 2, Track Map 2.

* The brake lock level lights are now an option for the left and right LEDs on the SMZ1 wheels. You can select if one or more of these lights should be used for this purpose in the Car 3 dialog. This can be set on a car by car basis. The left LEDs will illuminate for data regarding the left front wheel. The right LEDs will illuminate for data regarding the right front wheel.

* Graphical update have been made to the following dashboards: Silverado, Silverado B, Legends Ford, Legends Ford B, Monte Carlo SS, Monte Carlo SS B, Silver Crown, Street Stock, Super Late Model, SK Modified, SK Modified B and Sprint Car.

* Shadows have been added to the following dashboards: Silverado, Silverado B, Legends Ford, Legends Ford B, Monte Carlo SS, Monte Carlo SS B, Silver Crown, Street Stock, Super Late Model, SK Modified, SK Modified B and Sprint Car. These can be turned off by changing 'Draw Shadows' to 'No' in the Display tab of the settings dialog.

* There is a new option in the Car 1 tab called 'Show Wings As'. (Scroll to the bottom to see it.) This determines how the rear wing adjustments are displayed. The default is 'Number'. Most cars will use this and the wing adjustment will be displayed as a basic number (ie, 1,2,3...). The new alternative option is 'Distance'. This will display the wing settings as a distance (or measurement). So you will get readings like 1", 2", 3", etc. This distance will be in either inches or millimeters depending on what your current Distance Units is set to (in the General tab).

* There is a new option to alert you to cars on your left or right. This can be turned on or off using the 'Spotter' setting in the General tab of the settings dialog. A yellow arrow will appear on the left or right of the dashboard to indicate the presence of a car. If more than one car is on you left or right then two arrow will appear. Note this feature currently only works with iRacing.

This is because such a connection is not necessary. However if you really want to establish such a connection and don't want the warning message to appear then tick the checkbox for "Allow local server connections" in the Network tab of the Dashboard's settings dialog.

v 4.12.2
October 19th, 2017
* Fixed an issue that could cause the left side tire inner and outer temps to be reversed on Assetto Corsa.

* Fixed an issue with the Z1 Dash 1 that could cause the friction circle to be drawn off-center in certain circumstances.

* Fixed an issue in the garage statistics screen where long car names could over run into the track length display area.

* Fixed a bug that could cause the Dashboard not to update the track information (such as name, track map, etc) when connected to the Z1 Server if you changed tracks in the selected sim.

v 4.12.1
October 13th, 2017
* Updated F1 2017 compatibility to the their 1.8/1.9 patch.

* Fixed a bug with Race Room that prevented the number of laps in a timed race from being properly calculated.

* Laps Since Stop have been implemented for Race Room.

v 4.12.0
September 28th, 2017
* Added compatibility with Codemasters F1 2017.

* Added compatibility with Codemasters F1 2016.

* Added a plugin for Assetto Corsa. This python plugin allows the Z1 Dashboard software to receive information on the other cars in the session so that you can now view them on the track maps just as you can with the other sims. This includes the type of car, the driver's name, their best and last lap times, when they last pitted, etc. The plugin is located in documents/z1dashboard/plugins/assettocorsa. There you will find a folder called Z1Dashboard. It contains the plugin 'Z1Dashboard.py'. Copy the entire folder into Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\apps\python. (You should end up with the Z1Dashboard folder inside the python folder. And that Z1Dashboard folder should contains a file called 'Z1Dashboard.py' and two other folders called 'lib32' and 'lib64'.

* Added a new Standings dashboard (Standings Dash 2). This displays the data in a slightly different format and includes both the driver's fastest lap time and their last lap time.

* Added a new Ahead/Behind dashboard (Ahead/Behind Dash 2). This displays the last lap time and fastest lap time for the drivers directly ahead and behind you on the track. In addition you also get deltas to those times from your own last lap and fastest lap. This helps in determining if you are gaining or losing to the car ahead or behind during a race. Note the Ahead/Behind dashboards shows the car right in front or behind you on track regardless of their position in the race. This is different to the Track Map dash #3 which shows the driver ahead/behind you in position. So if you are in 6th place, and there are two cars in between you and 5th place, the Track Map 3# dash will disregard those cars and display the driver in 5th place. Make sure you utilize both of these dashboards to their intended purposes.

* Two new track map dashboards are available (#9 and #10). These incorporate the two Ahead/Behind dashboards into the track map style dash.

* Added a new dashboard - the Z1 Dash 1. This incorporates a g-force meter, laps times, and basic car information.

* Multiple LCD Screens are now supported, up to a maximum of 6. When you start the Dashboard if a screen is present and not currently being used the instance will display itself on that screen. From that point on it will always look for that same screen when attempting to display. If it can't find that screen in the future, then it will randomly choose from any available display. There is a new option in the Display tab of the settings dialog called 'LCD Serial #'. This displays the serial number of the screen being used for the display. Each screen has a unique serial number. So if you enter a different serial number here it will look for that screen and try to display on it. If you erase this serial number then the Dashboard will randomly choose any available LCD Screen to display upon.

* You can now add and remove drivers from the tracked driver list by right clicking on their name in the standings garage screen. This will give you a popup menu with two choices - add driver or remove driver. Select the desired option to add or remove the driver from your tracked driver list.

* There is a new option called 'Focus On Me' in the general tab of the settings dialog. This is on by default. This option will keep your name displayed in the Standings dashboard. The first place driver will always be displayed at the top of the standings. Then if this option is on the list may skip down some drivers to ensure that you are visible on the screen. Note while this option is on the up/down arrows have no effect on the standings dashboard.

* There is a new Open To option in the Display tab: Full Screen. This is similar to maximize, but provides a second option for times when a specific monitor is desired with a full screen display.

* Added brake bias in car adjustment for Assetto Corsa.

* Improvements to the compatibility with RaceRoom.

* There is an option for the Codemasters sims called 'CM Name'. This is located in the Network tab of the settings dialog. Please enter your name here to have it show up on the list of drivers for Codemasters F1 2017. If you leave this blank then the Dashboard will display the driver name as given from the sim, which will be whichever current F1 driver you selected in the sim.

* There is an option for the Codemasters sims called 'CN Timeout'. This is located in the Network tab of the settings dialog. This is the number of seconds the Dashboard or Server will wait after the telemetry is stopped from the sim before disconnecting. The default is 10 seconds.

* The font selection on the Notes tab and the Adjustment Font in the Display tab have been updated to a drop down to make it easier to select the desired font.

* Updated the Data Logger to allow for car and track names with special characters included in their names.

* Various graphical updates to the track map dashboards.

* The Z1 Server now includes the options to choose which sims you want to check for. With the growing number of sims supported this allows you to streamline the connection process by having the Server only listen for the sims you are using.

* Improved Z1 Server connection error logging to help with connectivity issues.

* The Z1 Server can now send buttons inputs to specific Z1 Dashboard instances. Previously the buttons inputs were sent to all instances. In the buttons tab of the Z1 Server's settings dialog there is an option to choose if buttons presses are sent to all instances, or to individual instances.

* The Z1 Server now shows which instances as the Z1 Dashboard it is connected to (1-6).

* You can now specify where the Z1 Server will save the created telemetry ZOD files. This is done in the General tab of the settings dialog of the Z1 Server.

v 4.11.2
September 13th, 2017
* Updated the RaceRoom API to work with the September 12th patch.

v 4.11.1
June 28th, 2017
* Fixed a bug where the garage screens would incorrectly display the wrong license type.

* Fixed a bug with the GT3 Dash 3 where the gear number would turn black after crossing the start/finish line.

* Fixed a bug where the 'flip' option did not flip the garage screens.

* Fixed some issues with the garage screen, lap screen and standings screen not being displayed completely properly when using the auto-resize option.

v 4.11.0
June 26th, 2017
* Two new track map dashboards (#7 and #8) are available. Number 7 incorporates a gear display and curved rev bar into the weather dash display. Number 8 incorporates your average lap time, and the amount of time left in the session into the track map dashboard.

* Added a new Stockcar 2016 dashboard.

* Added a new GT3 Dashboard (GT3 Dash 3).

* There is a new feature call 'Simulated Race'. This is available in the Strategy tab. It allows the Z1 Dashboard to count the laps you are doing as a race. You can specify the length of the race in either laps or minutes. The race can be started when you get in the car, or when you press an assigned button. When this mode is active the software will display all lap estimates, fuel estimates, and other data as if you were running an actual race. This allows you to do practice runs without having to join an actual race.

* There is a new option in the Strategy tab that effects how the number of laps to go in a timed race are determined. If you are running a race with pit stops those pit stops will affect the amount of time you are actually driving on the track, and therefore the number of laps you can do. By default the Z1 doesn't know how many pit stops (if any) you are going to make. So no time is deducted from the total for these pit stops. This can results in the Z1 thinking you can do more laps than would actually be possible because of the time lost in a pit stop. This results in the Z1 telling you to add more fuel than necessary to complete the race. The Stops In Race value tells the Z1 how many stops you plan to make in the race. The '# of stops effect timed race length' option tells the Z1 if you want the time of those stops to be deducted from the total time left in the race, thereby effecting how many laps you can do, and finally how much fuel you'll need to finish the race. The time of a pit stop is based on the Pit Stop Time value. You can set this manually or have the Z1 calculate it based on previous stops. Note that the Stop In Race option is not saved between session. You will need to set it for every race. This is because if it was saved and you did a race with a different number of stops from the last race then you would have incorrect time, lap and fuel data presented by the Z1.

* You can now choose metric or imperial units independently for speed (kph/mph), pressures (kpa/bar), amounts (liters/gallons), distances (meters/feet), and temperatures (c/f). The options for these are located in the General tab of the settings dialog.

* Completely redesigned interface for the garage screens (you know - the ones you see when not in the car). The icons are the bottom are gone. There's a new completely customizable color scheme. To navigate between screens click on the menu icon at the top right. It was time for a new look, and it allowed us to add some more features not possible with the previous design.

* The General settings tab now includes options for Foreground Font, Foreground Color 1, Foreground Color 2, and Background Colors 1-4. These allow you to customize the font and colors used to render the various garage screens. To select a color click on the desired color swatch and a color chooser will be displayed.

* The standings screen has been tweaked to make things easier to read with regard to the tracked drivers, car classes and iRacing's SR classes.

* The main statistics screen now displays the weather conditions in a scrolling text line at the bottom (if the sim supports it).

* When not in the car you can now use the mouse wheel to scroll the Notes, Laps and Standings screens.

* The Timing & Scoring dash now displays how you average fuel per lap is being calculated and also what, if any, fuel buffer you have included in the fuel to finish calculation. It also displays if the laps completed relates to the number done, of the one you are currently on.

* Users with a touch screen Z1 LCD Screen can now swipe the screen up or down to scroll the Notes, Laps and Standings garage screens up or down. They can also swipe left/right on the laps screen to scroll through the sectors. Note we recommend using a stylus for this purpose rather than your finger as it is more accurate.

* There are 4 new options under the Open To drop down in the Display tab of the settings dialog. These are Top Half, Bottom Half, Left Half and Right Half. These join the existing options and allow you to tell the Z1 Dashboard software that it should open to the appropriate location on your monitor.

* The Tracked Driver feature has been updated. Now in iRacing if a driver was added to the tracked list because their iRating was below the level you specified, they will be removed from the list if their iRating rises above that specific level. (Note to facilitate this change your previous tracked driver list will be reset.)

* The font selections in the settings dialog are now drop downs that list all fonts available on your PC. This should make it easier to select the desired font.

* The color selection boxes in the settings dialog have been replaced with color swatches, making them look better, and bringing them up to date with the ones used in the Analyzer. To display the color chooser just click on the swatch.

* The Pit Stop dash will now change the color of the text used to display the fuel remaining when you are in a race. It will be green if you have enough to finish the race, red if you have less than 3 laps of fuel left, and yellow otherwise.

v 4.10.1
April 6, 2017
* Fixed a couple of bugs with the 911 dashboards.

* Updated to the latest version of RaceRoom.

v 4.10.0
March 22, 2017
* Added 10 new dashboards! See below for details.

* Added the Cosworth Porsche Race Dashboards. There are four variations, numbered R1 - R4. These correspond to the variations in the actual car. Each of these versions has two variants, the standard version and a B version. The B version does not include the shift light LEDs and uses the maximum amount of space for the 'screen' display. That makes a total of 8 race dashboards! Note because not all sims support the 4 left and 4 right indicator LEDs, they can be hidden on the standard versions by turning off the Show Extras option for the car.

* Added the Cosworth Porsche Pit Dashboard. As with the Race dashboards, there is a B variant which does not include the shiftlight LEDs. And on the standard version the left and right indicator lights can be hidden by turning off the Show Extras option.

* Updated Assetto Corsa engine to take advantage of the latest additions to the Shared Memory API.

* There is now an option in the Strategy tab to enter the pit speed limit to be used. This can be used when the speed limit is not supplied by the sim, or you want to override the supplied speed limit.

* Improved the scroll bars used in the settings dialog tabs.

* Improved the registration methods.

* Various improvements to the speech options.

* You no longer have to have the pit info dashboard displayed in order for the pit lane countdown speech option to work. It will now work with any dashboard. Note currently iRacing is the only sim that supports this option.

* Various updates and improvements to many dashboards.

* There is now an option in the Buttons tab to turn off the check for POV switches. If you turn this off, then the joystick buttons check will only look for actual buttons inputs, and not POV inputs.

* Updated the Z1 Server settings dialog buttons tab to use the same scroll bar layout as the Z1 dashboard.

* The Mark Data button option has been added to the Z1 Server. This allows you to place a data marker in telemetry that is being recorded by the Z1 Server. It will also send a message to the Z1 Dashboard to display the message about the marker being placed, and also tell the Dashboard to place the same marker in any data it is recording.

* The Z1 Server now supports buttons for adding or removing the car ahead or behind you on track to or from the tracked driver list. This allows the tracked driver list on the Dashboard running on a remote PC to maintain an up-to-date tracked driver list in the same way the Dashboard running on the sim PC can do so.

* The Network tab now allows you to specify which sims should be checked for activity during the "Waiting For Sims" screen. Turning off the checks for sims that you don't use can improve response time and resources when scanning for sims.

* The Dashboard will now check the Z1 Analyzer database to see if there are laps that match the current sim, track and car and if there are will display those results (numbers of laps and fastest lap time available) in the Standings display of the garage screens. This allows you to easily see if there is a lap in the Z1 Analyzer that you would compare yourself against in order to see where you could gain time. This option can be turned off by unchecking the Z1 Analyzer checkbox in the Network tab.

* The sector times have been implemented with Automobilista and RaceRoom. Both the speech and text displays will speak/show them now.

* Updated RaceRoom integration to work with their latest API.

* RaceRoom ghost car no longer shows up on the list of drivers or track map during a practice session.

v 4.9.1
February 28, 2017
* Fixed a bug that could cause connectivity issues with Assetto Corsa.

v 4.9.0
December 20, 2016
* Sector 3's Race Room simulation is now supported.

* Added speech options. The Dashboard can now speak to you, giving you countdowns to your pit stall, and information such as lap times, fast lap, positions and laps of fuel remaining if you need to pit and the current lap number. This can be customized in the Speech tab of the settings dialog. The Enabled Speech checkbox must be ticked for speech to work. The Volume, Speed and Pitch trackbars allow you to adjust how the voice sounds. The actual voice used is the one selected in the Control Panel -> Speech Recognition -> Text To Speech window of Windows.

* For best speech results you should adjust the volume for the Z1 Dashboard in the Volume Mixer to be 100%, along with system volume. Then set your sim's volume to about 50%. This allows you to hear the voice over the engine noise within the sim. Note this might mean you have to increase the volume of specific sounds within your sim as well for best results.

* There are currently 10 messages that can be spoken. To have the Z1 speak a particular message automatically make sure you have that message's checkbox ticked. The text field next to the message is the text that will be spoken. You may enter any text you like into these fields.

* The welcome message is spoken up the Z1 starting up. This might be necessary on some systems to get the Z1 recognized on the Volume Mixer. It is also just fun to have the Z1 welcome you when you start it up. :)

* The Pit Stall Countdown announcement will come on when you engage the pit limiter or enter the pit lane (depending on how you have the Z1 setup). It will only work on sims that provide information on the location of your pit stall (currently this is only iRacing). You can choose how the message is spoken and the frequency with which the distances are given. The distances relate to the units you have chosen in the Z1 General tab.

* The automatic announcement of the lap times, fast lap, position, laps of fuel, whether you need to pit and the lap number are all done after you cross the start/finish line to complete a lap.

* You can have the Z1 Dashboard speak sector times and deltas to your best times in the session if you like. Note this feature is not available for all sims.

* You can also assign buttons to speak various pieces of information, or all the information at any time you wish. These options are available under the Buttons tab.

* Added a tracked driver list feature. This allows you to add drivers to what we call your 'tracked' list of drivers. This is intended to be a list of drivers you feel you can race closely with, or drivers who you need to give a bit more room to when racing. There is a tab in the settings dialog called 'Tracked' which allows you to view those drivers on the list, to remove drivers from the list, and to adjust settings for the display of those drivers.

* Several dashboards (the Ahead/Behind, Track Map 1, Track Map 3, and Standings) will display if a driver is on your tracked list. The Ahead/Behind dash will highlight the title bar and display the words 'tracked driver' for any driver on your tracked list. The Track Map 1 and 3 dashboards will highlight the driver's name if they are a tracked driver. The Standings dashboard will underline the driver's name if they are a tracked driver.

* There are four button functions that can be used to adjust who is on your tracked driver list. These buttons allow you to add the driver ahead of you or behind you to the list, or to remove the driver ahead or behind you from the list. These buttons can be set in the Buttons tab of the settings dialog.

* In addition if you are running iRacing then you can specify a minimum iRating. Any driver under that iRating will automatically be added to your tracked driver list. The minimum iRating can be set in the Tracked tab of the settings dialog.

* The color used to highlight a tracked driver can be set in the Tracked tab of the settings dialog.

* If you are running iRacing then you can also choose to have the cars of all drivers who are on your watch list to be painted in a specific color. If the Update Paint Jobs option in the Tracked tab is set to either 'All' or 'Changes' then the Z1 Dashboard will update the paint jobs of each driver's car from the tracked list when the Z1 exits. The 'All' setting will update the paint jobs of every driver on the list. The 'Changes' settings will update the paint job for only those drivers who have just been added or removed from the list. This is the preferred option because it takes less time upon application exit to write the paint jobs. However if you are using an application such as Trading Paints to automatically update paint jobs, then having the Z1 write out all drivers may be preferable.

* Note that only the first instance of the Z1 Dashboard will update the paint jobs, and that instance must be running on the same machine as the sim. If it is running through the Z1 Server on a remote machine then it will not update the car paint jobs.

* The paint folder for iRacing can be specified in the Tracked tab of the settings dialog. By default it is documents/iracing/paint.

* The Buttons 1 and Buttons 2 tabs have been combined into a single Buttons tab. There is a scroll bar on the right of that tab to allows you to access all options.

* There is now a kiosk mode. This can be turned on in the General settings tab. When on, this will cycle through the selected dashboard with a description of each one. It is intended to trade shows or similar situations.

* Connectivity to the Z1 Server when using multiple instances of the Dashboard has been improved.

* Removed support for Assetto Corsa Technical Preview.

* Added another Assetto Corsa connectivity method (Option 3). This may help some people who were having issue with the Z1 Dashboard never disconnecting from Assetto Corsa.

* If you try to connect to an out of date plugin, the version number of that plugin will be saved in the log file. This should make it easier to determine which plugin the Z1 thinks you have installed.

* The Z1 Server will now remember your settings moving forward. (So they won't get overwritten when you install future updates.)

v 4.8.1
October 17, 2016
* Fixed a bug where the average lap time option in the Car 1 tab would not always remember the setting if you chose Within X%.

* Fixed various other read/write bugs.

v 4.8.0
September 28, 2016
* The Z1 Dashboard software is now compatible with Automobilista. You will need to put the Z1Automobilista.dll plugin located in the documents/z1dashboard/plugs/automobilista folder into your Automobilista plugin directory.

* Added a new Track Map Dash (#6). This displays the weather information on the right with an arrow showing the wind direction relative to your car position.

* Added a new Lap Times dashboard. This shows all your lap times and the sector times for each lap. The fastest lap and fast sector times are highlighted for easy identification.

* Added two new IMSA style dashboards.

* There is a new setting in the Car 1 tab called Limiter Mode. If you have specified a pit limiter dash this determines when that dash is displayed. There are four options. Limiter Static is the default option and retains the previous behavior of displaying the pit limiter dash when the pit limiter is engaged. Limiter Change also displays the pit limiter dash when the pit limiter is engaged, but it allows you to change to a different dash at any point. Pit Lane Static displays the pit limiter dash when you are on pit lane. This is intended for cars that do not have pit limiters or for sims that do not report the pit limiter being engaged. Finally there is Pit Limiter Change. This displays the pit limiter dash when you enter pit lane. It then allows you to change to a different dash at any point.

* You can now specify the settings and dashboards used for a car without having to have that car or sim loaded. To do so, open the settings dialog and go to the Car 1 tab. There is now a drop down for the sim and one for the car. Choose the sim and car you want to edit from these drop downs. If you have a car and sim currently loaded then that sim and car combination will be displayed by default.

* The average fuel consumption is now shown based on the criteria specified in the settings dialog (ie using all laps, using only the last X laps, or using a specific amount of fuel every lap.) Previously the selected fuel consumption criteria only effected the amount of fuel required to finish the race. Now the average fuel displayed in the various dashboards, as well as in the 'average stint fuel' of the general statistics screen will reflect the selected choice as well. Note that the fuel consumption over then entire session as displayed in the general statistics screen will still be the average fuel used over all laps.

* Updated the Tire Dash to better show information.

* Incorporated new API data from Assetto Corsa version 1.7.

* Updated integration with Assetto Corsa for better sector time management.

* There is now an option to specify the monitor the Dashboard should open onto. This is only valid when selecting the Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left or Bottom Right open locations. If you choose the default monitor then the Z1 will display the window on the monitor it thinks you were last using. If you select a specific monitor then the Dashboard will attempt to open on that monitor regardless of where it was last positioned.

* Updated the Average Lap Time options and Fuel Per Lap option (in the Car 1 tab) to make it easier to understand.

* The track maps now have an arrow drawn at the start/finish line to indicate the direction of travel of the track. (Note this only gets displayed when using the 'Vector' render option.)

* There is now a checkbox in the Car 3 tab called 'Assign to all screens'. If you click on this checkbox the current LED RPM set up will be copied to all screens associated with the current car. This allows you to easily copy a specific LED RPM settings to all dashboards used by a car.

* There is now a setting in the Buttons 1 tab called Message Size. This lets you set the font size used to render the popup messages that appear on the dashboard for items like adding fuel, changing deltas, etc. The default size is 10.

* There is not a settings in the Display tab called List Font Size. This is the font sized used the render any list in the software, such as lap times, driver lists, etc.

* The garage screens have been updated to make better used of vertical space when the window is in a portrait orientation.

* The standings garage screen and standings dashboard now show the average iRating (only when in iRacing). Note this is the average iRating and not the actual strength of field. However it is close.

* The lap times garage screen has been redesigned. It now shows all sector times and highlights the fastest ones, making it easier to analyze which laps contained your fastest sectors. In addition in and out laps are now included and highlighted in orange. An out lap will have a border at the top of the row, while an in lap will have a border at the bottom of the row.

* When running in iRacing the track temperature display has been updated to include both the average track temperature and the immediate temperature at the start/finish line.

* The Weather dashboard has been updated to include the N,S,E,W indicators when displaying a track map.

* Updates to Project Cars for better weather information; sector times and track map creation.

* Updates to Rfactor 2 integration for better sector times.

* Updates the data logging to allow for more accurate lap times in the files.

v 4.7.0
June 28, 2016
* Added a new karting dash, called 'Kart Dash 3'.

* Added a new F1 Dash, called F1 2014 Dash 7.

* Added two new Stockcar dashes called 'Stockcar Dash 2016 3' and 'Stockcar Dash 2016 4'.

* Added a Strategy tab to the settings dialog. This contains various options for race strategy.

* Added a Display Range option to the Strategy tab. When settings this option to Yes (the default) the pit stop delta on the track maps will be displayed as a highlighted section of the track. This provides a more accurate coverage of where you could come out (depending on if you have a fast or slow pit stop.) When set to No the pit stop delta will be displayed as a square on the track maps (as it was in previous versions).

* Improved the pit stop delta times to provide more accurate pit stop time range for all tracks and cars. Previously it was always 30 seconds. Now it will vary based upon the track and car used.

* When the After Stop option is enabled (either by the user requesting it through a button press, or it becoming active due to the pit stop being within the specified number of laps) the cars close to you will be tracked. These tracked cars will be highlighted in the track maps. This is useful because they may pit on different laps from you, and even though they may then not be near you on track, you are still racing them. (This is still in beta.)

* You can specify the color used to highlight tracked cars in the Strategy tab.

* There is an option to specify whether or not tracked cars should be highlighted on the track map in the Strategy tab.

* There is now a Show After Stop option in the strategy tab. This lets you choose whether or not the 'After Stop' text is displayed along with the location of the pit stop delta in the track maps. By default this is set to Yes.

* You can now choose the color of the After Stop text and overlay with the After Stop Color option in the Strategy tab.

* You can now choose the font size of the After Stop text with the After Stop Size option in the Strategy tab.

* You can choose the width of the pit stop delta overlay with the Range Width drop down in the Strategy tab.

* There is a new button assignment that allows you to toggle the pit stop delta display on or off regardless of the number of laps of fuel remaining.

* If you click the delete icon for the track map (the red X) the application will ask you to confirm this action before deleting the track map.

* Local yellows are now supported in certain sims (rFactor2 only right now.)

* Added support for weather in rFactor 2. (Chance of rain, temperature and cloud coverage. Wind speed and direction is not supported at the moment.)

* You can now specify where the ZOD telemetry files will be created.

* You can now assign buttons to increase or decrease the intensity of the LEDs on the SMZ1 wheel.

* The Car 3 tab has been completely redesigned to make it easier to specify the colors of shift light LEDs and the RPM at which each one should illuminate.

* The Cadillac dashboard now displays the ABS setting and Brake Bias setting when Show Extras is set to Yes in the Car 1 tab.

* Improved how the iRacing telemetry playback screen determines lap times and laps numbers within the sim.

* There is now an option to assign a button to place markers in the telemetry files. These markers can then be displayed in the Z1 Analyzer application. (A marker allows a driver to note a location on the track so that location can be highlighted in the Z1 Analyzer.)

* The Ahead/Behind dash now shows the number of laps since the driver last stopped in the pits (LSS - for Laps Since Stop). If the driver has never stopped then --- is displayed.

* There is now an option in the Car 3 tab to reserve some of the shift light LEDs for the DRS. Enabling this option uses the left 5 LEDs for DRS indications. This only has an effect when using the F1 dashboards, or the SMZ1 wheel.

* Added support for DRS in rFactor 2.

* Added data logging of wheel RPM in rFactor 2 and Project CARS.

* Displays air and track temperature for Assetto Corsa.

* Implemented DRS in Assetto Corsa (not this only shows if it is engaged, and not if you are in a DRS zone or not.)

* Added support for KERS in Assetto Corsa.

* All dashboards have been updated to be self-centering in the window.

* If the Z1 LCD Screen or SMZ1 wheel becomes disconnected the Dashboard software will attempt to reconnect to the screen once it is plugged back in, or the connection is re-established, without having to restart the software.

* When using the Z1 Server, you no longer have to register the Z1 Dashboard on the remote machine. It will self-register based on the Z1 Server being registered.

* The standings dashboard now has a column called 'LSS' which shows the number of laps each competitor has driven since their last stop. (Not currently only iRacing support this).

* The Timing & Scoring dashboard now shows the number of stops you have done in your race and the number of laps since your last stop. Only race pit stops are counted. So if you go into the pits during a practice session that doesn't count as a pit stop. (Not that only iRacing supports this at the moment).

* There is now an option to have no title bar as well as the previous thin title bar. For those who don't want the display maximized but still want no border at all, this is the option to choose.

* There are four new Open To options. These are top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right. Selecting one of these will position the Z1 in that corner of the screen. This is intended to be used in conjunction with the None title bar option, when running 4 instances of the Dashboard on one monitor.

v 4.6.2
June 13, 2016
* Fixed a bug that would cause the Dashboard to crash upon start up with certain Windows operating system languages (such as Russian, Korean, and other similar ones.)

* Fixed a bug with session timing in iRacing.

v 4.6.1
March 28, 2016
* Fixed a bug for iRacing where a hosted or off-line session could report the type of session (practice, race, qualifying, etc) incorrectly. This could result in an incorrect number of laps being displayed as completed.

* Fixed a bug that could cause the display in the LCD screen to appear slanted or distorted.

v 4.6.0
March 22, 2016
* The installer is now digitally signed to make the installation process faster and easier.

* Adjusted internal architecture to allow for variable aspect ratios for the dashboards. This will allow for dashboards such as the new NASCAR style rectangular layout.

* There are now two new dashboards in the style of the digital NASCAR dashboard of 2016.

* There is a new dash called 'Ahead Behind Dash'. This shows the car ahead of you on track and behind you on track. The display includes the driver's name, car type and position. If you are running iRacing then it also shows the iRating and Safety Rating of the driver. Note the dash shows the car ahead/behind you on the track. This may not necessarily be the one ahead/behind you in position.

* Added a new Adjustment Dash (#2). This display the current values for settings such as MGU-K parameters, peak brake bias, and more.

* Added a new dashboard for the Corvette C7 DP.

* Added a new GT3 dashboard for the Audi R8.

* Added a new GT3 dashboard for the Mercedes.

* Added a new formula dashboard for the Renault 2.0 formula car.

* Added the Weather dashboard. This shows the current weather conditions for the event. Note not all sims support all aspects of this dashboard.

* Wind direction and speed is now displayed on the track maps. You can specify where the information is displayed in the Track Map tab of the settings dialog. THe options are center (the default), top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right, or off. Note not all sims support this feature.

* Any in-car adjustments that are made now trigger a special display screen. This screen is displayed for a few seconds alerting you to the change and the new value of the adjusted item.

* There are settings in the Display tab that allow you to customize the font, font size and colors used in the in-car adjustment display, as well as the length of time the change is displayed.

* Improvements to rendering for LEDs on various dashboards that allow for faster resizing of the windows.

* After installing this version any subsequent updates will no longer overwrite existing preferences. (For this install you should still make a backup of your settings files if you want to keep pre-existing settings.)

* Added 'after pit stop' location square to Track Map 4.

* You can now change the background color of the standings dashboard by settings the background color in the Car 2 tab. Previously it was always white.

* The standings dashboard now shows the time remaining in the session, along with your current position and laps completed/to go at the top of the dash.

* You can now specify the amount of extra fuel added during your pit stops in addition to what the Z1 calculates you will need to finish the race. The default value is 3 liters. You can change this value, on a car by car basis, in the Car 1 tab of the settings dialog.

* The additional fuel buffer that you can specify (see above note) is now also added to the displays of how much fuel is needed to finish a race. Previously it was only sent to the iRacing API when you requested the fuel to be automatically added.

* The Joystick tab has been renamed to Buttons, as that is now more appropriate.

* The Pause Time option has been moved from the General tab to the Buttons tab.

* The button pause time has now been split into two options, both available in the Button 1 tab. Pause After is the number of milliseconds the app will pause checking for buttons after you press a button. The default is 250 milliseconds. Pause Between is the number of milliseconds the app will pause between loop of checking for buttons. The default is 16 milliseconds.

* Improved the recognition of buttons to help differentiate between buttons when the user has multiple instances of the same device (such as button boxes).

* All iRacing specific buttons have been moved to the Buttons 2 tab.

* Added button options for clearing all tyres and selecting a fast repair in iRacing.

* Added the ability for the user to define buttons to go directly to a specific dashboard screen with the dashboard rotation. These can be defined in the new Button 2 tab of the settings dialog.

* You can now specify the vertical position where messages are displayed on the dashboard. These messages are displayed in response to button inputs, such as delta switches, fuel adjustments, etc. This adjustment is located in the Buttons 1 tab.

* There is now an option op have the Dashboard open to the exact size it was when you last closed it. This will allow for different aspect ratios to be displayed easily each time you open the Dashboard. Previously it would always revert to a 480x272 aspect ration when opened. This behavior can be set in the Display tab with the 'Open To' option. The 'Resolution' option is the new style. The 'Scale' option is the old style.

* There is now an option to have the Dashboard open as a maximized window. This option is available under the 'Open To' combobox in the Display tab.

* A new option called 'Calculate Laps' is now available in the Car 1 tab. This effects how the numbers of laps remaining in a timed race are calculated. The default option is to use the leader's lap times. But you can also choose to use your lap times (this is how it used to be in previous versions). You would want to use your lap times if you are in a multiclass race and you are not in the fastest class. In most other situations using the leader's lap times would be the best option.

* Added support for reading yellow and blue flags in Assetto Corsa.

* Added an option for different ways in which the Z1 will determine that Assetto Corsa has exited. This is available in the Network tab. You should only try Options 1 or 2 if the Default option is not working properly for you.

* There is a new setting on the General tab called 'LED Brightness'. This allows you to adjust the brightness of the LEDs on the new Sam Maxwell Z1 wheel.

* Added a Car 4 tab to the settings dialog. This is where you can setup how the LEDs in the SMC wheel behave.

* The pit info dash message and text color will now be set regardless of the currently selected screen in the Car 2 tab.

* There is now an option in the Car 1 tab of the settings dialog that lets you choose if you want a 'P' to be displayed when on the pit limiter, or if you want the actual gear number to be displayed. This only affects dashboards that display gear numbers.

* You can now specify the car's redline in the Car 1 tab.

* There is an Auto Redline option in the Car 1 tab. When set to Yes (the default) the Z1 will use data provided by the sim to determine the car's redline. If you want to specify the car's redline yourself (due to incorrect sim information) set this value to No.

* The Car 1 and Car 2 tabs have been rearranged to make them more logical. Items that effect every screen in the car are now all on car 1 tab. Items that effect only the currently selected screen are on car tab 2.

* The Z1 Server now sends weather data to the Dashboard.

* Added a minimize box to the Z1 Server window so it can now be minimized.

v 4.5.3
January 8, 2016
* Updated DRS support for new iRacing API.

* Fixed a bug that could cause the Dashboard to become unresponsive after minimizing and restoring the window.

* Fixed a bug where the track map in the Track Map 4 dashboard could be drawn off-center.

v 4.5.2
December 24, 2016
* Added DRS and ERS support for iRacing.

* Fixed a bug in the Z1 Server where the delta type was not being saved properly.

v 4.5.1
December 19, 2016
* Fixed a bug where the driver names sometimes would not validate properly.

* Fixed a bug where the pit stop location would sometimes not be reported properly when using the Z1 Server.

* Fixed a typo in the new Tire dashboard.

v 4.5.0
December 14, 2016
* The scale text option now effects the standings dashboard both in-car and in the garage as well as the track map dashboards.

* When the text in the garage standings screen is not being scaled (ie - more drivers are being displayed) a steering wheel icon will appear next to the drivers who are on track.

* When the text in the garage/in-car standings screen is not being scaled (ie - more drivers are being displayed) the Safety Rating for iRacing will appear on the right end of the screen. Note you can also click on the car name to remove it and only display iRating and Safety Rating if you prefer.

* The garage/in-car standings screen now alternates the background color of the rows to make it easier to read the data.

* The track map dashboards now flash for the rev limiter, yellow and blue flags.

* You can now use the last X number if laps to determine fuel usage. To do so enter -X into the Fuel Per Lap field in the Car 1 tab of the settings dialog.

* There is a new Tire dashboard. This shows the tires in a larger format than the telemetry 1 dashboard. It also shows the current tire pressures, brake temperatures, tire wear, ride height and shock deflection. The color used to display the tires and brake temperatures will change as they temperatures rise, giving you an easy way to see how the car is behaving. The current compound used for each tire is also displayed. (Note not all sims support all aspects of this dashboard.)

* There is a new Formula Dash.

* There is a new Formula One dashboard (F1 2014 Dash 6).

* The settings icon is now displayed on the splash screen even for LCD screen users.

* There is now a connection status meter displayed when using the Z1 Server. This monitors the status of the connection between the Server and Dashboard. A short green bar is good. This feature can be turned on or off in the Network tab of the Settings Dialog.

* The process of re-establishing lost connections between the Z1 Dashboard and Z1 Server has been improved. Now if a connection is dropped and re-established within a few seconds, the current state data will not be lost. This means the number of laps run, positions, fuel usage, etc, will all be kept instead of being reset.

* Graphical updates to improve the display in windows.

* When using iRacing the Z1 Dashboard's data logging options will now turn on or off iRacing's telemetry option. This is because iRacing's saved ibt files contain more data than iRacing outputs live. So instead of creating a zod file for iRacing, the iRacing ibt file will be created. This will make data analysis of iRacing using the Z1 Analyzer easier.

* The data logging feature is now on by default for the first instance of the Z1 Dashboard. This means you won't have to remember to start logging laps when you drive in the sim. They will be automatically logged. You can change this setting in the Settings Dialog.

* The Fuel dashboard that contains the three buttons for add fuel, remove fuel, or fill to finish, which previously interacted with iRacing through mimicking key commands, now interacts using the iRacing API. This removes the need to setup key commands to make this feature work. Now you can just go to the dashboard and press the buttons and they will work.

* There is a 4th track map dashboard. This one just shows the track map, with no other data. This allows for a larger track map.

* There is now a Network tab in the settings dialog. This is where you can set any network related properties, such as the IP and Ports for the Z1 Server and Codemasters sims. In addition there is now an option to tell the Z1 Dashboard whether or not it should check for these sims. Turning off ones you are not using can help speed up sim recognition. You can specify whether or not the Dashboard should check for the Z1 Server, the Codemasters' sims (F1 2012, F1 2013) or the Codemasters F1 2015 sim.

* All the joystick button assignments have been moved into a new tab called 'Joystick' in the Settings Dialog.

* There are new joystick button options for scrolling windows up and down within the Z1 Dashboard. Any screen or dashboard that uses the green up/down arrows can now be scrolled by joystick buttons if desired.

* There are now joystick buttons that work with iRacing to allow you to specify how much fuel should be added at the next stop. There is a button for increasing the amount, and one for decreasing the amount. There is a third button which will add the amount of fuel the Z1 thinks you need to finish the race (with a 3 liter buffer). These buttons can be assigned in the Joystick tab of the Settings Dialog.

* There is now a joystick button that allows you to scroll through the different delta types available. Currently this is mostly useful for iRacing. This allows you to select the delta type you want when you are in the car. This option is in the Joystick tab of the Settings Dialog.

* Simultaneous button pressed are now taken into consideration when determining whether or not a button has been pressed. This will help in situations where you have hardware such as an h-shifter that continually presses a button. Note this is not for when you configure the buttons, but rather for when you are driving. During the configuration process, the first button detected will be the one assigned.

* There is now a joystick button that allows you to reset the Z1 Deltas. This will clear any best lap delta in memory and stored on disk for the current car and track.

* The Z1 Server now communicates all button presses to the Z1 Dashboard.

* The Z1 Server now handles split/delta times much better. You can save them and reset them just as you can when on the Dashboard.

* Improvements in handling lost packets and between the Z1 Server and Dashboard. This should improve connection stability.

* The Z1 Server can now record telemetry for all supported sims. Note that the zod files are saved into the documents/z1server//telemetry folder as opposed to the documents/z1dashboard//telemetry folder. This is because it is possible to have both the server and dashboard running on the same machine and using the same folder would have caused file corruption issues. If you want the Z1 Analyzer to show the zod files created by the Server you should point it to documents/z1server and not documents/z1dashboard. Also note that if you are running iRacing, then zod files won't be created. Instead the Server will tell iRacing to record the data into iRacing's ibt file format. This can then be read by the Z1 Analyzer.

* Improved the joystick definition process so the software recognizes the buttons more accurately when assigning buttons.

* There is a new Track Map dashboard (#5). This one is a combination of the track map dashboard and the timing & scoring dashboard. You get the track map on the left, and the timing and scoring data on the right (current lap time, current delta, last lap, best lap, lap number, position, fuel, fuel needed to finish and laps of fuel left.)

* The Standings dashboard has been updated. When you are in a race it now shows the time delta between the cars, as well as the fastest lap time of each driver. When you are in a practice session it shows the fastest lap, the delta between lap times for the drivers, and the lap number each driver's fastest lap was set on.

* Added support for KERS and DRS for Codemasters F1 2015.

v 4.4.2
November 27, 2015
* Fixed a bug that could effect connecting and disconnecting from Assetto Corsa.

v 4.4.1
October 2, 2015
* Fixed a bug that would prevent the car display name from being saved properly in certain circumstances.

* Fixed a bug with fuel usage when you specified the exact amount of fuel you want to use per lap.

* Fixed a bug where the McLaren shift lights would still illuminate even if you have specified that shift lights should not be displayed.

v 4.4.0
September 23, 2015
* Compatibility with Codemasters F1 2015.

* Improved connectivity with the Z1 Server to better handle lost packets. This should alleviate disconnects or freezes if the network connection is temporarily lost.

* The track map car dots now display the driver's position in the race/practice session in the center of the dot.

* Added option for automatic shift light (LED) illumination based upon the car's redline. There are 4 options:
All 80-98: illuminates each shift light (LED) individually going from left to right, with the first one illuminating when you reach 80% of redline, and the final one coming on at 98% of redline.
All 65-98: illuminates each shift light (LED) individually going from left to right, with the first one illuminating when you reach 65% of redline, and the final one coming on at 98% of redline.
Grouped 80-98: divides the shift lights (LEDs) into 3 groups moving from left to right. The first group is illuminated at 80% of redline, then second at 90% and the third at 98% of redline.
Grouped 65-98: divides the shift lights (LEDs) into 3 groups moving from left to right. The first group is illuminated at 65% of redline, then second at 80% and the third at 98% of redline.

* Added an option for the default way shift lights should be illuminated when assigning a dashboard to a car. The five options are the same as the above options. The default is the All 80-98 option. This will ensure the shift lights work properly with all cars across all dashboards. You can change this settings in the display tab of the settings dialog. Note that you can still update shift light illumination points manually once you have assigned the dashboard to a car regardless of this setting.

* There is now an option for the three Impala style stock car dashboards to use the pit lane speed limit to determine when to illuminate the pit speed LEDs in the tachometer. This is on by default, but can be turned off by unchecking the Auto Tach checkbox in the Car 2 tab of the Settings Dialog. Note this is only available for sims that supply the pit lane speed limit.

* The pit info dashboard (which is displayed by default when the pit limiter is engaged) now shows the distance in feet or meters to your pit box. Note currently this is only available for iRacing.

* The five stock car dashboards will now display the distance to your pit stall when you enter pit lane. Note currently this is only available for iRacing.

* There is now an option to turn off the text scaling for the track map 1 dashboard driver positions. This is located in the Track Map tab of the settings dialog. Turning the scaling off will display more drivers in the driver position area of the Track Map 1 dashboard. The larger the window used, the more drivers will be seen.

* A total of 8 forward gears are now supported in the Car 3 tab, allowing you to customize when the shift lights illuminate for up to 8 forward gears (as well as neutral and reverse).

* Updated all plugins for more data transmission.

* Fixed an issue with iRacing where the driver's car might not be properly tracked between sessions (such as going from a qualifying to a race session).

* Fixed an issue where the Car Class option within the Track Map tab was not saving properly.

* Multiple changes and updates to text rendering.

* Fixed a bug with rFactor 2 where delta times were sometimes inaccurate.

v 4.3.0
June 22, 2015
* Added Data Logging. This is configured in the General and Display tabs of the settings dialog. In the general tab you can choose when data logging is active. 'Always' means data will always be recorded. Note this can result in a lot of disk space being used. 'Button' will allow you to toggle the data logging on or off by pressing a wheel button. 'Never' disables the feature. On the Display tab there is a new joystick button option for data logging. This allows you to select the button you want to use to toggle the logging on or off if you have selected the 'Button' option in the general tab. When data logging is on a small 'DL' icon appears at the lower right of the dashboards.

* Assetto Corsa now supports the rendering of the pit lane in the track maps. To get the pit lane to display in the track map you should first drive a few laps as usual in order to create the main track map. Next finish a lap by driving into the pit lane and engaging the pit limiter. Drive through the pit lane, and back onto track. Turn the pit limiter off and drive round the lap. Then re-enter the pit lane and engage the pit limiter. When you cross the start/finish line you'll see the pit lane added to your track map. Note that if the track map already exists when you start the Z1 Dashboard software then you should delete it. (You can delete the track map by clicking on the black gear icon at the top left of the track map and then clicking on the red X icon.)

* The Telemetry 2 Dashboard has been updated. The traces are now much more clear when viewing the dashboard at large resolutions (such as full screen). The traces stop moving when the car stops, so you don't get wasted blank trace lines. When the car stops moving a thin blue line is drawn on the track to show where this happened. When you cross the start/finish line a thick gray line is drawn so you can see this event. Every 10 seconds a thin grey line is drawn along with the time stamp, allowing you to more easily find parts of the lap. The larger you make the display, the more time will be displayed.

* A third telemetry dashboard has been added. This is similar to the Telemetry Dash 2, but without the steering and shock traces.

* Added a new track map dashboard. This one shows the delta time to the car ahead and behind, both as it is at the current moment, and whether or not you gained or lost time to them on the last lap. It also shows your current position in your class, and what position you will be in after your pit stop (if you pitted right now). If you are not racing then the deltas are to the lap time of the person faster than you and slower than you.

* Improved the responsiveness of the settings icon when the software is waiting for the sim to start.

* In iRacing the dashboards will now flash yellow for any of the following conditions: yellow flag, yellow waving flag, caution flag and caution waving flag.

* The dashboards will now flash yellow in rFactor 1 & 2, Game Stock Car and ARCA Sim Racing for full course cautions.

* Added detection for the pit speed limiter in rFactor 2.

* Improved the resolution of button icons so they look less pixelated at higher resolutions.

* Fixed a bug in the iRacing telemetry playback where if you stopped the playback the telemetry would revert to the current live telemetry instead of displaying the paused telemetry.

* There is now an option to rotate the track maps 90 degrees clockwise.

* The icons to rotate, flip or delete the track maps now appear/disappear when you click on the black settings icon at the top left of the track map. This makes the track map less cluttered.

* Improved how the pit lanes is rendered in the track maps to avoid the occasional drawing of double lines around the track.

* There are now two ways to render the track maps. Vector will render track maps using the data points. This provides smoother track maps at higher resolutions. This is now the default. The old graphic style is still supported. This way is the option you should choose if you like to mark up your track map graphics.

* If an old plugin version is installed for rFactor 1 or 2, or ARCA Sim Racing or Game Stock Car, or you try to connect to an old version of the Z1 Server, the Z1 Dashboard will alert you to this issue, so you can update the appropriate item.

* Fixed a bug where rFactor and rFactor 2 would show the driver's first names instead of their last names in the track maps.

* Fixed a bug in rFactor, ARCA Sim Racing and Game Stock Car which could prevent the Z1 from correctly identifying that you were in a race (versus other type of session).

* Fixed a bug where the saved delta times might not be loaded if the car was changed.

* Fixed a bug that caused slashes to be added to the iRacing telemetry folder whenever you opened the telemetry option

* Fixed a bug where if your iRacing telemetry folder contained no telemetry files the Dashboard software would incorrectly report that the folder was not found.

* Fixed a bug where if the IP and port for the Z1 Server address on the Z1 Dashboard were not already in the settings.xml file then they would not save.

* Fixed a bug that prevented the settings icon from responding when the Z1 Dashboard software was waiting for the sim to start and was setup to display the car dashboard when not in the car. This primarily was noticed when running instances 2-6.

* Fixed a bug in ProjectCARS where turning on headlights would trigger the pit speed limiter to be displayed on the dashboard.

v 4.2.0
March 25, 2015
* Added the Z1 Server application. The allows you to broadcast the sim's data to any other computer on your network. (Note you still need to install the plugins for rFactor, rFactor2, Game Stock Car, Kart Racing Pro.) The Z1 Dashboard can then read the broadcasted data, so you can now run the Z1 Dashboard on any computer on your network. (Or in theory anywhere on the internet if you have public IP address you can use.) The server will also broadcast the joystick button inputs allowing you to control the dashboard switching from the main computer. You run the Z1 Server application on the same computer as the sim, and then run the Z1 Dashboard on another computer on the network.

The IP address and port being used by the Z1 Server application are displayed on the main window of the Z1 Server application. These can be set, along with various other options, in the settings dialog available by clicking on the settings icon in the upper right of the screen. You will need to make sure the IP address and port used by the Z1 Dashboard match these values. These are set in the General tab of the settings dialog in the Z1 Dashboard application. You will also need to make sure you don't have a firewall or anything else blocking the selected port.

The Z1 Server can be registered using the same order number as is used on your Z1 Dashboard. You can also use driver names, or run it as a demo for 15 minutes at a time. The Z1 Server will be included for anyone who purchases version 4.2.0 (or higher of the Z1 Dashboard software) or is eligible for an update from a previous version to version 4.2.0 (or higher) of the Z1 Dashboard software.

* There is a new setting for the track map. You can now choose how car classes are displayed. Previously each car's dot was outlined with a color representing the car's class. You can now choose if you want things displayed that way, or if you would like the car's dot to be filled in with the car's class color, and then outlined with the color representing whether or not the car is behind you, in front of you, etc. Basically the reverse of what was previously used. The default is what was previously used. You can change this setting in the Track Map tab of the settings dialog, with the Car Class drop down. This can help in multi-class races to more easily determine which cars are the same as yours.

* If you are using iRacing you can now choose if you want to use one of iRacing's delta times instead of the Z1 generated delta time. There is a drop down under the car 1 tab called Delta Type. This has delta options for best lap, optimal lap, session best lap, session optimal lap, and session last lap. Choosing one of these options will display the selected iRacing delta time in the Z1 Dashboard software. (Note that choosing one of these options when using a different sim has no effect, as the Z1 delta time will always be used for those sims.)

* Updated the Assetto Corsa code so that the Z1 recognizes when Assetto Corsa exists much sooner than in previous versions.

* Expanded support for the Codemasters sims. The track map has been improved, adding sectors, and fixing a few bugs. Position, fuel, track length, track names, and more telemetry values have been incorporated into the Z1 Dashboard when using Codemasters sims.

* Added GT2 dashboard

* Added the Super Speedway 2 dash. This is similar to the Super Speedway dash, except it has a speedometer instead of an oil temperature gauge.

* Added the Stockcar dash. This displays the 6 secondary dials in an easy to read format. Oil pressure, oil temperature, volts, fuel pressure, water pressure and water temperature.

* There is now an option to flash the background of the dashboards for blue flags and yellow flags. This can be turned on or off for each car. You can also set the color to be used when flashing the background for each type of flag. This feature is on by default. Note that iRacing and Project CARS support both the blue and yellow flags; rFactor 1 & 2, Game Stock Car and ARCA support yellows only; The other sims do not support this feature.

* There is now an option to not display the simulated LEDs in cars that have them. This allows users who may have LEDs integrated into their wheels, or are using another display for the LEDs, to avoid having them duplicated on the Z1 Dashboard screen.

* Added car definitions for iRacing's Ford Falcon FG V8, Holden Commodore VF V8 and Ford GT GT3 cars.

* Improved joystick button recognition with repeated button clicks.

* The flashing rev limiter background now works with ProjectCARS.

* Fixed a bug that prevented the notes from saving/loading properly.

* Fixed a bug in iRacing where if you joined a team race part way through, the fuel consumption would be inaccurate.

* Fixed a couple of bugs in the BMW, CTSV and Motec dashboards.

* Fixed a bug that could have caused new car definitions to not include certain fuel parameters, resulting in inaccurate fuel readings or readings of zero for those cars.

v 4.1.0
December 16, 2014
* There are now 4 new F1 2014 style dashboards available.

* The standings screen is now available as a dashboard.

* Added car names to the standings garage dashboard. If you are using iRacing then you can flip between the car name and iRating by clicking on the 'Car' or 'iR' header.

* Added car colors as outlines on the track map. This makes it easier to see your competition and the type of car you are approaching in multi-class races.

* You can now incorporate the pit lane into the track maps. (Not currently this is only for iRacing - the other sims will follow in future updates). To do so, you would create a track map as you normally would in iRacing (drive the lap with telemetry being recorded, then go to the telemetry analysis screen and select your lap, then click the compass icon.) Now to add the pit lane you need to drive another lap where you cross the line to both start and end the lap in the pit lane. Then go to the telemetry analysis screen and select that lap, then click the compass icon. The pit lane should then be added to your track map.

* The track map creation has been tweaked to improve the track maps and how and when they are created. This fixes certain issues that occasionally occurred when creating track maps in Assetto Corsa, Project CARS, and rFactor 1 & 2.

* There is now an X icon on the lower right corner of the track map dashboards. If you press this button the track map will be deleted, allowing you to recreate it from scratch.

* The pit stop deltas now ignore any pit stop less than 10 seconds in order to prevent inaccurately fast deltas from being reported.

* In iRacing the software will now use the track display name provided by the sim as the default track name. You can override this in the TrackMap.xml file located in the documents/z1dashboard/iracing/tracks folder.

* There is now a 'Check Loc' setting in the Display tab of the settings dialog. By default this is set to Yes, and the Z1 will check to make sure it is will not be displayed off-screen when it starts up. However if you want it to skip this check, then set this option to No.

* The software will now get the maximum revs for the car from the sim. This will mean the Generic Dashboard will always display the correct revs in the rev bar for the car you are driving. The exceptions are Codemaster and SimBim sims. Those two sims do not report the maximum revs for the car.

* There is now a checkbox in the Car 1 tab of the settings dialog box called "Set For All Cars". If you check this box then the current cars settings and screens will be applied to all cars for the current instance and sim. This allows you an easy way to create the same setup for all cars you use. Note that this will overwrite all previous settings for all cars.

* Fixed a bug where shift light values were not reset between loading different cars.

* Fixed a bug in the Project Cars data that could prevent the laps from being registered.

* Fixed a bug associated with Project Cars that caused the Z1 Dashboard to crash once you finished a course where the start and finish line were not in the same location (such as a section of highway, etc).

* Fixed a bug that prevented the third instance from opening when using Assetto Corsa.

* Fixed a bug where maximized windows would not stay maximized when you got in the car if you had the hide title bar option set to racing.

v 4.0.0
September 22, 2014
* You can now have up to 10 dashboard screens associated with a single instance. You can switch between these screens by pressing a button on your wheel or joystick, or by touching the Z1 LCD Screen. The default screen rotation is: main dashboard -> Track Map -> Timing & Scoring -> Telemetry Dash -> Adjustment Dash -> Pit Info Dash. You can choose from any of the dashboards, and put them in any order using the Settings Dialog. Each instance can have up to 10 dashboard associated with each car, each with their own switching order. (That would be a theoretical maximum of 60 dashboards per car!)

* There is now a "Limiter Dash" option in the Car 1 tab. This lets you choose which of the dashboards that can be displayed for the specific car will be displayed when you engage the pit limiter. This allows you to select any dashboard when you enter the pits.

* A new Track Map dashboard has been created, called Track Map 2. This displays the track map along with speed, rev, shift lights, gear, lap number and position.

* The Pit Dash and Fuel Dash are now stand alone dashboards. They can be inserted into your car's dashboard rotation just as any other dashboard would be.

* A new Telemetry Dashboard has been created, called Telemetry Dash 2. This displays in real time, traces for steering position, suspension travel on all wheels, gear, throttle position, brake position, RPMs and speed.

* The Settings Dialog has been updated to allow for the new multiple screens. In addition all buttons and text fields now have tool tips to let you know what each function does.

* A new Save Location settings has been added. This allows you to specify whether or not the Z1 should save the location of the screen when you exit.

* If you run with Auto-Resize on, then the Z1 will now remember the exact dimensions of the window you were using. Previously it always resized based on the current scale settings.

* There is a new Auto-Scaling option. This is on by default. When you resize the window the app will pick the best scaling to suit the size of the window. If you have Auto-Resize on it will fill the window. If it is off, then the screen may not take up the full window. As before Auto-Resize takes up more CPU power, and is off by default.

* All the ini files have been replaced by XML files. This new XML file structure allows for the multiple dashboards per instance.

* Each instance now has its own specific XML setup file for settings and car definitions. This fixes an issue where the ini file could become corrupted if they were written to simultaneously by multiple instances.

* Changes to the dashboards associated with a car now take effect immediately once the settings dialog has been closed. Previously you had to restart the Z1 to see any changes.

* Joystick button selection is now done in the Settings Dialog. The new Display tab allows you to specify whether or not the joystick buttons are enabled, and to select each button without having to restart the Z1. Just click the buttons associated with the desired function and click the appropriate button on your wheel or joystick. Each instance can now have its own joystick button assignments. This allows you to control multiple instances with your joystick.

* Screen sizing has been improved. Now when hiding or showing the title bar, the screen will keep the correct size based on its previous size.

* There is now a setting to determine the time between checking for joystick button clicks. The default is 150 milliseconds. The smaller the number the more responsive the app will be to button clicks. Using a larger number will allow you to hold a button down and cycle through the dashboards at a reasonable speed.

* The 'flip' option now only flips the display if you are using the Z1 LCD Screen.

* If you have an instance setup so the dashboard displays even when you are not in the car you can still cycle through the dashboards for the car using the joystick buttons, or by clicking on the left side of the screen. Clicking on the right side of the screen, when not in the car, will display the settings dialog.

* There is a new plugin for the 64 bit version of rFactor 2.

v 3.9.5
August 29, 2014
* Updated Assetto Corsa compatibility for AC version 0.22 release.

* Updated rFactor 2 32 bit compatibility for build 798.

v 3.9.4
June 25, 2015
* Fixed a bug that prevented the default dash for instances from saving properly.

v 3.9.3
June 21, 2014
* Updated Assetto Corsa compatibility for AC version 0.2.0 release.

v 3.9.2
June 18, 2014
* Added Adjustment Dashboard. This shows the various in-car adjustments that are possible. Currently only iRacing supports the telemetry necessary to run this dashboard.

* Added the BMW Z4 dashboard.

* Updated several previous dashboards to include new telemetry for in-car adjustments.

* The size of the dots used to draw the car positions can now be edited. There are two sizes, one for your car and one for everyone elses. The default is 7 for your car and 5 for everyone else, making your car slightly bigger and easier to spot. You can only edit these in the settings.ini file at this time.

* Moved the sim check process to a separate thread, so the settings icon is more responsive during the Waiting for Sim phase.

* Added the Dallara DW12 dashboard.

v 3.9.0
May 7, 2014
* Added third sector color for improved differentiation between sectors on track maps.

* Added two dashes for the Porsche Ruf RT 12. One is 8,000 RPM and one is 10,000 RPM. You can choose the colors of the dial backgrounds by setting the background color in the settings dialog.

* Added the Super Late Model dashboard.

* Fixed a bug in iRacing where your driver name would appear twice in the standings screen.

* You can now use POV (hat switches) as well as joystick buttons to select icons within the Z1 software.

* You can now specify the width and color of the track when it is drawn during the auto-creation process.

* You can now specify the width of the sector overlay when it is drawn onto the track map.

* You can now specify how the sector overlays are drawn. The options are solid (as was previous used), dotted and dashed.

* The track map auto-creation now works with iRacing. You will need to record a full lap of telemetry within iRacing and then open that lap in the Z1 Dashboard telemetry analysis screen. Then press the compass button to generate the track map. This results in a track map that can be more accurate than the ones that ship with the Z1 Dashboard software.

* The software will now learn how long each pitstop takes at every track and with every car that you race. This information will be used to calculate the pitstop deltas in the track map screen to give you a more accurate position of where you will exit the pits after your stop.

* You can now flip the track maps left/right and up/down. This allows you to better position auto created track maps, that sometimes might have been backwards or upside down when created. Just click the left-right arrow button or the up-down arrow button located in the top left and top right corners of the track map dashboard.

* If you do not want the Z1 Dashboard software to check for the availability of Assetto Corsa TP or Codemaster's sims, then settings their IP address to '0' in the settings.ini file will cause the software to skip checking them. This can improve startup performance of the Z1 Dashboard software in some cases.

* Codemasters F1 series is now supported. Note that the data provided by these sims is limited so you will not have all the features available to you that you have with other sims.

v 3.8.0
March 12, 2014
* Improved performance for better CPU usage.

* Added support for SimBin sims. Note that as the current SimBin API is quite limited there are several features of the Z1 Dashboard software that are note available, most notably the track map display.

* Updated support for the latest version of Kart Racing Pro (10b beta). The auto-track map creation now works with this sim. Also added is throttle, brake, lat and long G forces so the telemetry dashboard now shows more information.

* Updated support for the latest version of Project CARS, adding much more information as it is now available from their API. The auto-track map creation now works for this sim.

* Fixed a bug that could cause the app to crash when disconnecting from Assetto Corsa.

* Improved the auto-track map creation process to include sector positions.

* Added the auto-track map creation to rFactor 1 & 2.

* Added the auto-track map creation to ARCA Sim Racing

* Added the auto-track map creation to Game Stock Car

v 3.7.0
February 23, 2014
* The software is now fully compatible with the latest Assetto Corsa release.

* Track maps for all circuits will now be created automatically after you have driven one complete lap in a practice session. There are three settings for when track maps are created. The default is "If Blank". This means the track map will only be created if it does not already exist. This allows you to update an existing track map image with notes, corner numbers, etc, without having them be overridden. The next is "Always". This will recreate the track map whenever you drive a fast lap for the session. The final is "Never". This will never create the track map image. These options can be set in the Track Map tab of the settings dialog. Note that currently this feature is only available for Assetto Corsa.

v 3.6.0
December 5, 2013
* You can now turn off the software's position check by setting the checkPosition parameter to false in the settings.ini file. This could be useful if you want the app to display slightly outside of the monitor boundaries.

* Improved joystick button selection.

* All dashboards now have the option of flashing the background when you hit the rev limiter.

* Updated registration dialog to include option to register using the driver names.

* There is now an About screen in the settings dialog. This shows you the version you are running and how you are registered. It also allows you to unregister your software if you need to move it to a different PC.

* The settings dialogs now use color pickers and file browsers to help you select all colors and file paths.

* Fixed a bug with rFactor 1 & 2 where the tire temps on the right side were reversed.

* The color and thickness of the lines used to highlight selected buttons is now customizable. Currently this must be done in the settings.ini file.

* The iRacing telemetry reader has been improved to help troubleshooting in case no replay files are being displayed.

* Added the Lotus 49 dashboard. This was done using our new shading technique to give better image quality on the dials.

* Added the new Motec style V8 dashboard.

* Added support for the Ford Mustang Class B car.

* Added a track maps and car location to the iRacing telemetry analysis screen.

v 3.5.3
June 14, 2013
* You can now use the application without having to be connected to the internet. After you register the software (which still requires an internet connection), all subsequent times that you start the application you do not need to be connected to the internet in order to authenticate.

* Fixed a bug with the checking of instances.

* Changed the numbering of instances from 0-5 to 1-6 for the sake of clarity.

* Added the lockSettings option. This is in the settings.ini file. It is set to false by default. Setting it to true will prevent the app from displaying the settings icons, so users cannot change settings from within the app. The setting is only editable from within the settings.ini file.

v 3.5.2
May 8, 2013
* Fixed various memory leak issues. These issues could cause the screen to turn white after a certain amount of time, or cause the settings icon on the waiting screen to disappear, or to cause memory not to be reclaimed.

* Added the ability to edit notes directly form the settings dialog.

* When you choose a new dashboard from the drop down in the Car 1 tab of the settings dialog, the app will automatically update certain other settings to ensure the dashboard displays correctly. You can turn this option off by unchecking the checkbox above the drop down.

v 3.5.1
April 27, 2013
* A bug which would cause rFactor, rFactor2, ARCA Sim Racing and Game Stock Car to crash when running with fields of over 14 or 15 drivers has been fixed. NOTE: You MUST replace the Z1 plugin for those sims with the ones from this release.

* Sometimes clicking the settings icon could open multiple Settings Dailogs - this has been fixed.

* The track map parameters were not being read until a car was loaded. So if you opened the Settings Dialog without first being in a car you would lose all your track map colors, etc, and they'd all be black. This has been fixed.

* If the scaling option could not be read properly, or was a very small number the app would display as a small black square. This has been fixed.

v 3.5.0
April 12, 2013
* When the app opens it now checks to see if it would be displayed off screen, and if so displays in the center of the screen. This is to prevent the app from being off screen in the situation where you were displaying the Z1 app on an additional monitor that is no longer connected to the computer.

* There is a new setting called showSettingsDialog. When this is set to false it prevents the Settings Dialog form being displayed if you are using the Z1 LCD Screen.

* The 15 minute demo message now displays within the dashboard window and not a separate dialog box, which caused problems if the dialog box was not able to be clicked upon.

* Added support for the Chevy SS Gen-6 and Ford Fusion Gen-6 stock cars.

* Added a new super speedway dashboard. This is intended for super speedway running where oil and water temps are paramount. The dashboard consists of two main dials for oil and water temps, as well as smaller notification of revs, gear, fuel, speed, lap time and position. You can assign this to any car by setting the dashDisplay value to 35 for the appropriate car.

* Added support for Assetto Corsa TP.

* Added more iRacing live telemery values: throttle, brake, lateral and longitudinal acceleration, shock deflection.

* Added option to use only the last lap of fuel when determining fuel consumption.

* Updated Kart Racing Pro car definitions to include all the karts in Kart Racing Pro beta 8.

* Updated the settings dialog to use a tabbed format instead of the single huge screen.

* Added a settings icon to the "Waiting for Sim" screen so that you can now access the settings dialog before the sim starts.

* Added three new tabs to the settings dialog which allow you to adjust the settings for the currently loaded car. This allows you to customize the car without having to manually edit the ini files.

* Added support for Project CARS.

* Added the Lotus Elise SC dashboard.

* Added the Porsche RUF dashboard.

v 3.3.2
January 9, 2013
* Added a new dashboard (#34) designed for use with the McLaren MP4-12 GT3 car.

* Improved the touch screen fidelity for the new generation touch screens.

v 3.3.0
November 5, 2012
* Track Map added. This is dashboard #32. This dashboard shows the layout of the track along with each car's current location on the track. There are seven different colors used, one for: your car, the leader, the car ahead of you, the car behind you, cars in the pits, cars off track, and all other cars. These colors are used definable in the new Settings Dialog.

* The track map dashboard can overlay the sectors for each track on the map. This is set using the showSectors option in the settings.ini file. This can be set to: on, off or practice. 'on' will always display sectors. 'off' will never display the sectors. 'practice' will display the sectors on in non-race conditions.

* The track map also shows where you will end up on track if you pitted right now. This is useful during a race to see if you will come out with clean track, or will be in traffic. You can specify the number of laps before your run out of fuel that this feature should be activated. The default is 3 laps. You can also specify the length of the pit stop. The default is 30 seconds.

* Each instance of the app can now have its own settings for the following: garageScreens, alwaysOnTop, hideTitleBar, scaling, autoResize, highPriority, sleep

* There is now a new option for the garageScreens setting: Dashboard. This will display the car's dashboard at all times, even if you are in the garage. This is useful for the new maps screen where you could then see that position of the cars on track at all times. It also allows you to join an iRacing spectator session and use the track map to track where the cars are on track.

* There is now a Settings Dialog. This allows you to set most of the options for the application overall and each instance of the application that previously were done by editing the settings.ini file. To access this new dialog, click the Settings icon in the garage screens. Or if you have the application set to display the dashboard when you are in the garage, then just click anywhere on the dashboard when you are not in the car to display the Settings Dialog. Click the OK button when exiting the dialog to save your changes. Most will take effect immediately, but some will require a restart to take effect. Of course if you like you can still manually edit the settings.ini file.

* You can now specify the default dashboard for each instance of the application. This is useful if you want the timing & scoring dash or the map dash to always be displayed in the second instance regardless of what car you are driving. Previously you would have had to create a secondary car definition for every ccar. Now you can just set the default dash to timing & scoring, track map dashboard (or whatever you like). If you do create a specific car definition for the instance, then that will override the default dash.

* Fixed a bug where the app would crash when on connecting to the sim for certain driver names.

* There is now a new Telemetry dashboard (#33). This is similar to the telemetry analysis screen. It allows you to view the telemetry streaming off the car in real time. This includes tire temps, tire pressure, ride height, shock deflection, tire wear, brake temps, g-forces, speed, gear, rpm, throttle and brake position. This is only fully supported by rFactor 1 & 2, ARCA Sim Racing and Game Stock Car, as Kart Racing Pro and iRacing do not output all the necessary telemetry data.

* Kart Racing Pro beta 7 is now supported.

* There are new dlls for rFactor 1, rFactor 2, Game Stock Car, ARCA Sim Racing and Kart Pacing Pro Beta 6.

Updated files: all.

v 3.2.0
September 20, 2012
* Kart Racing Pro is now supported.

* Added two new dashboards for Karts.

* Each instance of the app now remembers where it was located on screen.

* You can now specify the initial garage screen for each of the 6 instances of the app. The options are Stats for the statistics screen (the default); Notes for the notes screen; Laps for the laps screen; or Standings for the standings screen.

* There is now a demo version available. It is fully functional, but will exit after 15 minutes.

* Improved the touch screen recognition on the new versions of touch screens.

v 3.1.0
September 3, 2012
* Fixed a bug that was caused an error message upon exiting the application

* Added a new settings option for scaling up the graphics. This option called 'scaling' is located in the Settings.ini file. The default is 1.0. This represents the default resolution of 480x272 pixels. If you run the application at a higher resolution than that, the application's default behavior is to simply scale up the original 480x272 image to fill your window size. However this can lead to slightly blurry or pixelated images.

Setting the scaling option to a higher value will draw the base image at a higher resolution. A scaling value of 2.0 will draw it at 960x544, providing you with a much crisper image. A value of 1.5 will draw the image at 720x408. Note that higher scaling values will require a slightly increase in processing power from your cpu.

* Added an 'autoResize' setting to the Settings.ini file. This can be true or false. It only effects the windowed screen and not the LCD display. If set to true then the display will automatically resize itself when you change the size of the window with the mouse. Set to false and the display will stay the same when you resize the window.

Optimal display appearance and performance is obtained by setting autoResize to false and then using the scaling parameter to specify the size of your window.

* Added a 'highPriority' setting to the Settings.ini file. If this is set to false then the application runs at normal priority. Setting it to true runs the application at high priority. (High priority is how all previous versions used to run.) High priority can cause fps loss or lag in the sim due to the higher cpu load used by the Z1 application. A high priority can provide a slightly faster response time on the display.

* Added a 'sleep' setting to the Settings.ini file. This setting controls whether or not the application will sleep for 16 milliseconds each loop through. There are three options:

never: The application never sleeps. This is best for performance, but requires more cpu power.

multiple: All additional instances after the first instance will sleep for 16 ms each loop. This gives the first instance the most performance (as that is where your main dashboard will most likely be), but reduces the performance of the additional instances (as they most likely don't display millisecond critical information.)

all: All instances of the application sleep for 16 ms each loop. Depending on the dashboard being displayed and your cpu it may be acceptable or even better to run all instances with the 16 ms pause. This will reduce cpu load at expense of performance.

* Fixed a bug with the telemetry analysis section where the left side tires had the inner and outer temps reversed.

v 3.0.5
* Fixed a bug where some oval car tachs would go black at high RPMs.

* You can now specify whether or not the application should remain visible over other windows. The alwaysOnTop settings within the Settings.ini file can be set to true to enable this option.

* The Water temperature gauge on the Impala, Impala SS and Class B Impala now flashes if the temperature gets too high.

* You can now specify the temperature at which the oil temperature gauge and water temperature gauge will start to flash on the Imapala, Impala SS and Class B Impala. There are two lines in the car's settings for each temperature: oilFlashTemp and waterFlashTemp. The number should be in Fahrenheit.

* The Silverado Truck dashboard has been upgraded to use the appropriate Impala dashboard. If you prefer the old dashboard you can still select it in the ini file.

* You can now specify whether or not the application should have a title bar. There are three settings, each of which is set from within the settings.ini file. Note that when the title bar is hidden you can't drag the window. The hideTitleBar option can be set to one of the three settings:
never - (default) this always shows the title bar (ie it is never hidden)
always - this makes the title bar hidden all the time
racing - this hides the title bar when you are in the car.

* You can now run up to six instances of the application. Each of these instances can display a different dashboard. For example you could run the F1 car with the main dashboard displayed in the first instance, and the timing and scoring dashboard displayed in the second instance.

Each window is numbered 0 through 5 so you can see which window corresponds to each instance. By default they will all display the same dashboard. To change this you would add additional car definition sections to the iRacing (rFactor, ARCA, etc) ini file for that car.

The F1 car definition starts as follows:
[car_williamsfw31]
displayName=Williams-Toyota FW31 ; the name of the car as it appears in the stats screen
displayFont=Quartz ; the font to use when displaying information on the dashboard
dashDisplay=2

If you want to specify the timing and scoring dash for the second Z1 window instance you would create a second F1 car definition section starting as follows:
[car_1_williamsfw31]
displayName=Williams-Toyota FW31 ; the name of the car as it appears in the stats screen
displayFont=Arial ; the font to use when displaying information on the dashboard
dashDisplay=25

Notice the [car_1_williamsfw31] line. The additional number can be 1 through 5 to indicate the additional 5 instances of the application. By default the first instance doesn't use a number and is just [car_williamsfw31].

Also notice that the font and dashboard assignment has been changed. Each car definition section is completely independent from each other and can be tweaked as desired.

If you have an LCD screen then the first instance always runs on that screen. All subsequent instances will run on your monitors.

v 3.0.0
* Application is now a windowed app instead of a console app. You can run the app on any windows monitor or on the LCD Screen. If you have an LCD Screen connected to your computer then the app will display on the LCD Screen. If no screen is detected then the app will run in the window. You can then move and resize the window as desired.

* Application now uses an installer to create the application folder, documents folder, install the fonts and install the C++ redistributable. All setup and ini files are now located in the My Documents->Z1SimWheel folder.

* When running in windowed mode (ie not on the LCD Screen) you can now use your mouse to click on the various icons on the screen, as well as using the three joystick buttons, to navigate and select pages and options.

* Added options to the 3 Impala cars which determines the color of the tach as well as when the tach changes between colors. Located in the .ini file under the Impala car definitions are the following two new variables:

tachRPM=3400,3800,4200,9500,
This determines when the tach switches between colors. Note that even though there are 5 different color range for the tach, only 4 numbers are required, as the bottom and top numbers (zero and infinity) and implied. So you enter the RPM at which you want the color to change.

tachColor=0040ff,00FF00,FF0000,0040ff,FF0000,
This determines the color of each stage. There should be 5 colors entered here, one for each color range.

* Added a 'screenBrightness' setting to the settings.ini file. This is only used if you are not using the LCD Screen and are running the application in a window. This value can be set to any float value bwteeen 1 and 3. Setting it to a higher value brightens some aspects of the dashboard displays. Lower values darken the dashboards. This is to allow for differences in monitors.

* Added a new dashboard designed for F1 cars from the 1980s. It is set to the Formula Classic care in Game Stock Car, but can be used anywhere.

* Added a new dasboard designed for road cars. This includes an analogue speedometer and tachometer, as well as digital gear and speed readouts.

* Fixed a bug where if you clicked on the large right arrow in the telemetry selection screen, but you had not selected a telemetry lap yet the app would crash.

* Files updated in this release: all.
